The Accounting Manager works at Btrust supermarket Head Office to ensure all financial requirements and processes are adhered to in timely manner.
Preparing financial and sales report and report it to stakeholder in regular basis
Reviews & approves journal entries ensuring appropriate backup is provided;
Sorting and managing original documents such as vendor bills and client invoices
Maintaining the trail balance, general ledger and accounts payable bills;
Manages periodic deadlines for journal entry processing and cost report generation;
Assists in financial presentations ensuring integrity & accuracy of data;
Assists in the annual external audit and government commodity tax audits;
Manages and motivates 3 staff members, ensuring high performance;
Participates in accounting module of ERP SAP projects as required.
Relevant accounting degree coupled with accounting designation;
Minimum five years of progressive experience in finance including supervisory experience; experience in retail industry as an asset;
Must have advanced knowledge of accounting/financial concepts;
Knowledge of Canadian accounting rules, practices, tax laws, payroll and financial reporting requirements
Excellent communication and coaching skills with the ability to relate to all levels of an organization;
Organized and detail oriented with strong PC skills (Excel, Simply Accounting, Sage50);
Good problem solving and flexible in approaches
Good time management skills and works well under pressure;
Must be fluent in both Chinese and English (some documents will be in Mandarin)
