Authentic Chinese cuisine. Not only are their buns delicious, but their Sichuan dishes are also very authentic. The spicy beef tripe we ordered today was both crispy and tender.

The quality has gone down so much, in my opinion. The spicy ramen was oily, and there hasn’t been anything new to get excited about in the last few years. I’ve been a customer since this restaurant opened on Gerrard St, but I’m disappointed with the recent decline. The server didn’t check on us at all. I know they’re busy, but I’m in the restaurant business, and this kind of volume is manageable. I look forward to going back for something more creative and delicious in the future.

Nice spot in the financial district. Drinks were good for the most part - except one of the gin cocktail drinks wasn't that great..can't remember which one, though. Tried the lobster spaghetti, and it was very delicious. The servers are nice and accommodating. Will definitely visit again.

I had a great dining experience at Shinta Japanese BBQ. The service was outstanding—staff were attentive and quick to fulfill our requests. The food was delicious, with a good variety of high-quality meats and fresh ingredients. The ambiance was pleasant, making for an enjoyable meal. Highly recommend for excellent service and tasty BBQ!

Decent place for a spicy taste.

We loved this place. Too bad it closed October 16, 2023 :(

My wife was recommended for the steak, which was about an 8oz for $18. It came with pasta on the side. She loved it. I had the classic Hong Kong style pork chops & and rice, which was amazing. Just think an 8oz steak at the Keg would be $35 minimum & our whole meal was $40, including Hong Kong tea.

Soup and noodles taste good. Very special.

The interior is amazing, but everything was average or below average. We went for the ealry bird special of ordering before 11 am weekdays. We arrived at 930 am and it was still a 20 minute wait. We ordered the Har gow 3/5 good but skin was thicker than most higher end restaurant and there was a shrimp shell in one of the dumpling. Even the bulk one from mass produced factory in scarborough do not have shells anymore. Scallops dumpling 0/ 5 very thick skin, minimal scallops taste and tasted premade from a supermarket Rice in lotus leaf. 3/5 Sticky Rice was high quality but the meat lacked taste and very light in seasonings Steamed salmon head 5/5 excellent taste and deep flavour Durian cake 4/5 durian filing was light, fluffy and flavorful. Repeat : no! There are way too many good restaurants to settle for fine dining with a basic taste even with a discount.

Final farewell to the Sherway Pickle Barrel. Not many menu options left on the last day, but server Rebecca was awesome as always.
