Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu

A good home style Korean restaurant with soon tofu as their specialty. Three of us went in & ordered two of their sets. We had plenty enough & were happy with both the soon tofu & Bibimbap. The par-down atmosphere is particularly suited to family / students / friends gathering. It could get a bit boisterous as we found out ourselves.

I love dining in here and I recently got take out for the first time - the front host let me know how best to hear it up again at home and was sooooo kind. nothing but the best to say about this place :)

Delicious seafood soondobu, many different options. Nice level of acidity and deep, clean seafood flavour. Patio is cute, I enjoyed just chilling there for a bit. Purple rice is alright, I've had better at other places. Last time they didn't ask before pouring the water in even though I always leave it to get crispy in the pot. But it's my second time here and i'll definitely come back!

The food was delicious! The kimchi as part of the banchan was so good. We got Spicy Pork and the Hot Stone Bibimbap. Everything was super fresh. The staff were friendly and quick. Quality was definitely on point with the prices. I'll be coming back here.

This restaurant offers a decent selection of Soon Tofu options as well some other popular Korean dishes like bibimbap and bulgogi. I got the Dumpling Soon Tofu with a side order of Beef Dumplings. Both were quite good. The service isn't the greatest, but the prices are reasonable and the portions are filling. If you're looking for a quick meal, this is a good place to check out

If you’re looking for Korean food that satisfies your stew craving, this is the spot. I had the seafood soon tofu, but it didn’t have that much seafood in it. Also their spice levels were a little skewed. I asked for mild, but I got a stew that had no spice in it. So probably could have done medium. Besides that it’s good and filling food and the price is great.

An absolute institution in this city. Once the stew hits the table, be sure to crack the egg into it immediately. Save room at the end to scrape some of the rice out of the stone bowl: by the end of your meal, the water is infused with that rice flavour and the rice has crisped up a bit against the stone bowl. Adding some of that water and rice to your stew pot is an elite move that gives some additional depth!

The dumpling soon tofu and hot stone pot rice are delicious! I had regular spice level and it was absolutely amazing! The service was great and the portions are huge for the price point. Loved this place and will definitely be back❤️

Bustling place with all sorts of demographics dining here. Staff is efficient, sometimes too efficient at the expense of fulfilled service. Food is quite delicious, and an experience with the stone pot where the staff serves you rice from it. Vegetarian option is MUCHO limited (ONE main), but you must try the vegetable dumplings - so delicious and was sad when it was done. 🥹😋 Any type of substitution or exception is a flat NO, or they would just tell you "you don't have to eat that". Best to go with the staff's flow as they have the process down to the science!
