Big Crow

I love it here. We had the ribs, steak - with a bunch of sides. Each meat was perfectly done. Just note that the steak is prepared with blue cheese butter, which is delicious, but might come as a surprise. Loved the baked beans and my god - the cinnamon bun dessert is incredible. We came early with our youngster and our server was wonderful and so kid-friendly. The cozy restaurant reminds me of being up north at a rustic cottage. So, will be back and I highly recommend!

My family dined at Big Crow last night. It is a family favourite and did not disappoint. The atmosphere was fun, service impeccable and the food outstanding. With adult children, it is so nice to find a place that caters and responds to young and mature alike. Best BBQ, fabulous cocktails and simply a great neighbourhood restaurant! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Updated review; combined zero star w 5 star…which one will you experience? When it’s done well, it’s Texas BBQ w an Asian twist; seriously tasty. The corn bread alone is worth the visit. Ribs were delicious, margaritas bang on, atmosphere a chill vibe. Beats Lone Star or basic joints hands down; no comparison. Our server was also a gem; friendly and helpful. One comment; wear casual clothes, ‘cause you may take some of the smoke smell home. When done badly (see photos; sorry for the quality;the reddish mess on the left is chicken, the bright red mess on the right is pork) the chicken and pork ribs are undercooked. Chicken should not be red/bloody. Ribs were basically raw in middle; fat and collagen hadn’t broken down and the meat (as you’d expect from undercooked pork) remained tough, stuck on the bone and, well, disgusting. Inedible.

The service was amazing! My husband and myself went here as a friend recommended it. Worth going uptown (it's not our usual area). We got an appetizer of a half rack of ribs with cornbread (you must try it, its maple syrup drenched and goes well with everything). We then got the surf and turf, the steak was juicy and shrimp were to die for. The smell in this place is so comforting. It felt like home. All of the waiters were very attentive to our desires. The first guy sat down next to us to feel out what we would potentially want. He knew us without knowing us! We liked that it didn't feel like it was one waitress the whole time and that THREE of the employees approached us asking how everything was here and there throughout our visit. Great experience, we highly recommend. Totally going back. There's even a burning fire next to the door to get you feeling cozy (the restaurant entrance is on the side by the way, not the front, we made that mistake but we were not paying attention- the staff is so fun at the other restaurant as well :)). Talk about a hidden gem!! Even when walking in to this place you wonder where you're going as it's up a little alley but opens up to an oasis of a beauty little patio space. The staff were very attentive and worked great together! We went as a group of four and ordered a share meal. My goodness, mouth watering slice of awesome pie!!! Meat heaven <3 Definitely would recommend and will be back!

Very yummy! We had the chicken and ribs: everything was delicious (except that I am not personally sold on the pastrami gravy - possibly an acquired taste) and 2 portions were big enough to handily feed 4 people. Staff was also very nice.

Wood fire meat. Best ribs I had in Toronto; not even close. Covid friendly contact-less service from order to pay. Also well-heated patio.

It's back!!! I thought I'd never have these ribs again. Now doing takeout - hot off the grill, reheat, and pretend-you-made-it-yourself raw prepared food. So. Excited.

We got $13 cocktail and $3 hot chocolate, and they were kinda dissapointed. Cocktail was not special and too small compared to price, and hot chocolate was not creamy. Atmosphere was perfect, but the drink fell bebind that.

Great environment for BBQ. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. A friend and I split 3 meat dishes an appetizer and a dessert. With tip it was $65 each. Everything was quite tasty. I would definitely come back with a friend and try one of their big steaks.
