Best Italian in the city, hands down But don't get the squid ink pasta. Yech!!!

Really enjoyed a dinner at Buca on Feb 3, 2024. King Street location has a beautiful setting in a lofty, high-ceiling space. Pork blood pasta was delicious. Great selection of cocktails and wines. The entire team of servers and hosts/hostesses is wonderful - very professional and friendly.

I am from Windsor, which is known to have the best pizza in Canada (probably North America), yet the Tartufo pizza at Buca is second to none. Our server was beyond knowledgeable and made suggestions to compliment each dish! 3 stars for atmosphere only because we were seated in what seemed like a back room. which felt like it was set up to accommodate for New Year's Eve.

My overall experience was soso, the atmosphere was pretty good, i think a candle on the table would be much nicer. The service was not good, our waitress does not look happy at all during the full service her service wasnt good, our water was empty during dinner and we waiting 15 min and had to call her to refill it, during the 1.5 dining experience we were not asked if everything tasted alright or if we needed anything else which we wanted to but got tired of waiting. we had the same pasta as the table across us and they were asked if they liked parmesan or peppers on it while we were not asked. The kitchen staff that served and described the food was very nice tho, even saw the note we made on the reservation and congratulated us, server missed it. the food was good but menu choice was tiny and 1/3 of it was cheese and salami, we came for the lobster pasta as it was highly recommended by a friend but it was not available at this location which we found out after that every location has different menu.

I was excited to try the place. Didn't have a problem reserving a table. Since we knew it's located downtown, we had figured out parking prior to heading down. 3 minutes walk from the closest paid parking garage. We liked the general ambiance and the look of the place, though we felt the tables were too close together with others and it was loud(noise from chatter) We did not enjoy the food. Steak was hard, and octopus was very rubbery. Pastas were OK, and appetizers were decent at best. Tiramisu was too liquidy. Wine was great, though. Overall, it was very disappointing. To add to this, our server was not very attentive. Price isn't too bad, approximately $600 for 4 people including tax & tip. Probably won't go back again.

Very very good service and the pizza was delicious. Will come back again to explore different foods on the menu

We were walking to another restaurant when we stumbled upon this place. It’s a rustic-looking yet classy restaurant and the manager was very nice to us and gave great recommendations on the meat, cheese & wine. I definitely recommend but also for small intimate events.

Tucked away from street view in an old red brick factory building, Buca is a place that you don’t want to skip. From the moment you are greeted at the host stand, you are treated to high-end service which includes wine tasting, those silver food coverings you see in movies, and explanations and mixing of each dish at your table; however the thing that makes this place such find is the prices are very reasonable which does not seem to match the high-end quality and service you receive. Would definitely check this place out!

Visited during the Summerlicious event. Their menu offering was a superb balance of traditional and innovative dishes that exceeded our expectations, meeting all our culinary cravings. The attentive and knowledgeable staff provided exceptional service, complementing the delightful dining experience. The highlight of our evening was the decadent tiramisu, an indulgent finale to the sublime meal. Buca Osteria & Enoteca skillfully blends the genuine authenticity of Italian flavors with meticulous service in a serene setting, offering a memorable dining experience. A must-visit culinary gem in Toronto.

Summerlicious 2023 Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious! We ordered the salumi and the tomato salad to start , bigoli and ribs for the mains and tiramisu and panna cotta for the desert . Overall the food was well worth it. The highlight is definitely the mains as they were really flavourful. The tiramisu fell a little short to me cause it tasted more like cheesecake but nonetheless it is still good and I finished it! In Italy you usually pay for the water and this restaurant does the same so don’t get caught off guard . We also ordered the espresso before the dessert and it was rich! Would definitely visit again.
