I have gone here for nearly 15 years on and off. In the past few times the black haired waitress has unfortunately made the experience unbearable. She is incredibly unfriendly, rude and speaks with a demeaning attitude. We asked multiple times for waters for the new members joining our table and each time she forgot she was snippy and rude to my wife, lines such as "I know I'll get to it I heard you". It's reasonable to say this for a few minutes. But 15 minutes is just unreasonable. I recommend avoid eating here as she simply sours the generally good food and inn atmosphere.

Their schnitzels are very good. I really enjoyed the Jager Schnitzel with bacon and mushroom sauce. Colleagues ordered Wiener schnitzel and parmesan schnitzel sandwhiches which were also nice and crispy. Sandwhiches are big. Service is a bit slow. Took a while to get our food but we didn't mind since we weren't in a rush. Sat for about 2 hours total. What rubbed us the wrong way was the automatic 18% gratuity that the server picked for us before handing the machine. I would've tipped well regardless but do not appreciate forced tipping. They also try to upsell food and beers, so be mindful of that. Food is on the higher end but it's in Unionville, so that's expected. The ambiance is very nice.

Good food, great atmosphere, beautiful indoor and outdoor facilities! The food tasted good, and the hospitality was fine. I would love to come back to taste again!

Fresh food, great service by Roula ... she explained all my questions and was so pleasant. I think this place is the best restaurant in Unionville. Will 100% recommend trying this place.

Pretty good tasting comfort food. I'm not familiar Austrian food so I can't really compare, but it felt well made. Their Schnitzels are bomb! I was disappointed with the miniature sized pop! I give them 8/10!

I was with a group of guys from my community and we had reached out to the restaurant to see if they could accommodate us for a get together. We could not have been treated better than we were last night. Thanks so much, to the kitchen and the wait staff for a great night.

I love the food an ambience of this quaint little restaurant. Oyster stew - wasn’t really a “stew”, but more like a chowder soup. It was heavenly…I secretly wanted a second helping… House Platter - schnitzel, pork loin, sausages etc. - just like the one we had last time we ate here. Delectable. I didn’t try the vanilla ice cream. 🍨 I had a piece of Viennese chocolate cake instead. It wasn’t too sweet - it tasted just right.

Here is a real experience in Old Unionville. Much more room than it appears from outside. Well laid out, nicely decorated. Elena worked hard to keep us happy, we were 9 for Easter lunch. Got the orders correct, food came quickly, very well made, good tasting, excellent portion size. Love the Gouash soup, Schweizer Schnitzel is really good. Dessert is excellent Sacher Torte very nice. Reasonable wine list. Everyone enjoyed it. Give them a try!

Great family get-together with four generations of family! Child-accommodating too. Fabulous food and superb service. Excellent apple strudel. Been going there for years. A must stop in Unionville.

I usually don't post reviews but felt the need to share my last experience at the OCI. My wife and I have been going to the OCI restaurant for years and have always been satisfied with the food, service and prices. That said, my wife and I went to the OCI for dinner two weeks ago and were shocked to find the bill had doubled since our last visits in 2023. We both had a schnitzel plate, a coffee and shared a slice of carrot cake. Neither of us had alcoholic drinks. Yet, the final bill was nearly $120 with tip. While I realise the cost of food and goods has gone up in the past few years, inflation certainly didn't reach 100% - that's what the bill reflected. Regrettably, my wife and I have modest incomes and the price increases at the OCI have now excluded us as clients.
