On my recent trip to China, I became obsessed with 潮汕/潮州 chaoshan hand cut beef hotpot, and this shop did not disappoint. Meat is particularly fresh and chopped on the day you order. It’s different from most Chinese hotpot as the cut is done not with a machine but by hand and against the grain of the muscle. I personally don’t like oyster sauce in my dipping sauce, my biggest complaint is that there is no self serve dipping sauce counter, but beggars can’t be choosers. There’s no other place in downtown Toronto that does this style of hotpot. Definitely coming back. Use Fantuan app to get a better deal.

Yummy beef hot pot. Love the thin cut meet. It tastes special and fresh and only requires dipping in the pot for 8 sec. Will bring my friends here next time.
