Recommend to check the washroom before you take your seat. Went last weekend with family the washroom was very smelly and seems didn't clean for a while. I was doubted if they wanted to maintain that way to show the kids, this is how the forest.

Great location and atmosphere. My daughter loved it, particularly the fish tank. We expected a long wait to be seated considering it’s prime location but they got us seated quickly and efficiently! Our server Cass was great. Great healthy options for my daughter.

A great place for kids.. You're definitely paying for the fun, the environment and atmosphere and not just the food. The food is average (or even below average based on my wife lol) and the food alone is not worth the price tag (the kid's meal is pretty good, showing in the photo).. but it's a great dining experience and you'll feel you're really in a forest probably. My two-year-old enjoyed it pretty much. It would be a five-star experience if the adult food tastes better.

For the price range of the food and the restaurantI’s image (my kids talked about seeing info about it on social media and really wanted to go), I was certainly shocked by the condition of the bathrooms. They were the most disguising I have ever seen, and I have seen bad ones in less developed countries… food was just ok, service was good even for how busy they were, but bathrooms were absolutely horrendous! Not only there was water everywhere (apparently they had a broken pipe, which i understand), but there was toilet paper and used diapers all over the floor. By the amount of garbage, it was clear bathrooms had not been cleaned for a very long time. I felt like I needed to burn everything I was wearing after visiting as I felt I was probably stepping in feces. I lost my appetite before the food even arrived. I was absolutely appalled!

We attempted to dine at this restaurant tonight with our 3 young children. We arrived at 7:45 and were told it would be a 25 minute wait for a table, we felt this was reasonable so we waited but we weren’t seated until after 9pm (red flag #1). Upon walking to our table, I noticed the restaurant appeared very dirty with food and debris all over the ground (red flag #2). The restaurant was fairly empty with plenty of tables but we were seated at the table right at the entrance to the kitchen with a giant dirty fan blowing that was incredibly loud. We asked for a different table but the host seemed hesitant to seat us somewhere else which I didn’t understand. Our server approached us and offered us a booth instead, away from the giant noisy, dirty fan and we were fine with that. Our server was kind and attentive. He promptly brought us water, however they didn’t have enough clean cups so I was served water in a disposable cup… (red flag #3). At a restaurant that charges at least $34 for an entree, I didn’t expect to be served anything in plastic. We ordered meals for our children and I took my daughter to the bathroom while we waited. The garbage cans in the bathroom were overflowing, 2 out of 6 stalls were out of order and the accessible stall was absolutely disgusting - I couldn’t imagine being a person with a disability and having no choice but to use that filthy stall (red flag #4). Upon returning to our table, I sat down and my shirt caught on something underneath the table and ripped. The plastic covering on the table wasn’t properly affixed and caught my shirt and tore it. It was quite sharp and I worried about my kids getting hurt by it (red flag #5). By this point, we had serious concerns about the cleanliness of the restaurant and our kids were exhausted from waiting over an hour but they were very hungry so we requested our kids’ meals to go (chicken nuggets & fries, and pepperoni pizza & fries), we opted not to order meals for ourselves. Our server was apologetic and we acknowledged that absolutely none of this was his fault. He was prompt in bringing us the kids meals and our bill. We inspected the meals before leaving the restaurant and noticed the pizza was very undercooked and not edible (the dough was practically raw - red flag #6). At this point we approached the manager. She was kind and apologized for our negative experience. We were refunded the cost of our meals, and our children were given souvenir cups. We appreciated these gestures but were sad to leave with such a disappointing experience. Too many red flags for me to recommend this place or give it a second chance. There’s better spots to eat on Clifton Hill.

This place is super cool for the rainforest atmosphere but the food is absolutely atrocious. Stop by to look and then leave. Don’t waste your money on the over priced garbage food. Food took 45 minutes. My husbands burger was missing half the bun and when he pointed it out they brought out a dry half burger bun. My cheese steak was inedible. Tasted like the scrapings off a greasy grill. Also weird sticky brown stuff fell from the ceiling on my daughter during the “thunderstorm” that happens every 30 minutes. I felt bad for the server who was doing his best with a terrible kitchen. Please avoid this tourist trap.

I give it a 3 star rating. The appetizer was amazing and carried the whole experience but my tacos were no good . The tacos were super salty but if they weren't as salty i would've made my review higher.Also the wait times were too long and i allready filled up on the appetizer before the tacos. The person taking my order was very nice. I feel if I came at a better time i would have had a better experience. The food was way too expensive for it to be that quality

Way overpriced for what it is. Basically a burger place with inflated self opinion. Ordered the mixed grill(ribs, prawns and chicken). All served cold. Would have told the waiter but didn’t really see him again. Flavours were ok, one can only assume it would have been better hot. Would not recommend this place if you are looking for value for money with matching quality.

First of all, the atmosphere was amazing since the decor was very unique. But the food was the reason we approached this restaurant. I got the primal steak, since i usually love steak. The steak was very chewy and hard, even when i ordered medium well. It was tasteless and i had to lather it in salt for the slightest taste. Pro tip: don’t get steak at the restaurant that doesn’t specialize in it. The service: bad. We waited such a long time for our food. If the food was good, it wouldn’t of matter as much. But in this case, the food was not good at all. Fun experience for tourists, but the food and service itself was not promising. Very expensive.

Best food I’ve had at a rainforest cafe. Scenery, as always, was a great vibe. Server was very nice and attentive. Will hopefully be returning!
