Honestly not impressed with the 12% added to tab. Then the slick. you can tip servers. food ok. service was ok. cant be a jerk if you have auto tip. place was nice. good for conversation. The experience average overcharge on buffet. overcharge for wine. then ransom customer for tip for mediocre service.

Super pricey I would not recommend. It use to be $35 then $50 pre COVID for last night menu but now it's $70 CAD.

I've been to Chako numerous times but I would say I received the best service at this location. The host and wait staff were friendly, quick and attentive. The waitress was especially patient and friendly with my (little) kids. Food was delicious. Our favourite meat choice was the weekend beef finger meat. If I could redo the meal, I'd only order that protein. The kids enjoyed the miso soup, beef finger meat, grilled pineapple and buttered corn. Some of the meat has a bit of spices in the marinade, so my kids rejected a couple of the other protein choices. Chako had a good balance of protein and vegetables. We would come back for special occasions. The kids enjoyed the ability to cook their own food.

Long time family favorite! Been to this location many times. Recently took my daughter for a mommy & me dinner date. The staff was so nice & waited on my daughter hand & foot, happily fulfilling her every request & she had many lol they were so sweet & accommodating! Will always go back.

DO NOT GO!!.. Waste of $$$$.. Food was horrible , beef was chewy, all meat seasoning taste the same. Ask for sauce, they brought soya sauce and siracha. Sushi rolls 90% rice with 5% salmon. Go to GYUBEE across from this place you'll get better selection and better food. Chako deserve ZERO star

After trying other Korean BBQ places, I've learned how high the standards can be. And chako used to be my favorite, we had one in Mississauga but it sadly closed down. Some of its negative sides are reflected here... First off, the menu. They still use paper, we have to mark down what we want, wait for an employee to come pick it up and then wait to be served. Most if not all restaurants have adopted using iPads. And as guests for desert we are limited to one item per, with my party there was even confusion as one of the items simply said "pudding". No details of what type or flavor, nothing, so you're gambling. The ice creams are pre-packaged from another vendor, one of the people at my table recognized the packaging from a hospital stay... Oof. Now for the food itself: - meat usually comes marinated in some sauce they have. But you will get the thinnest cuts you'll ever see. And when the meat is thicker, it feels rubbery. The shrimp had no flavor, the mussels, our table ordered 9 in total, only one had garlic seasoning Oh, the grills have an odd design flaw, you might get your cooked items slipping inside the BBQ unit. The ventilation situation is horrid, as it usually is at chako, our clothes reeked of smoke after the dinner. Lastly, we were given forks and knifes, yet the portions are so small you barely get to use the knife and so thin it's impossible to use the fork too. I had to scoop my meats to make use of the fork! This place needs work, it feels like someone thought of how to do things years and years ago and hasn't invested in the business ever to improve it. If you want to stuff your face with cheap meat and you don't care, go for it.

Our server, Helen was exceptional! Was very quick to give us extra napkins, change our grill top , refill our waters, as well as any other requests! She is an exemplary server and should be recognized for her hard work and attentiveness to amazing service.

Food is honestly not worth the price here. The quality is not upto par with Gyubee/ Shinta or even KBbq next door. So many better options out there. The service is good though. Always has been amazing. I only go cause they treat you good here. Food needs better cuts of meat

It’s a great idea to have a nice time with your family and friends in this place. Otherwise, I love the fresh yummy food they offer for barbecue.

Decided to come here due to the long waitlist at their competitor, Gyubee. We visited during the weekend dinner, which cost a little more but offered more choices for sushi and meat. The sushi was decent, although not worth it since you can't order it sashimi style. I enjoyed the edamame as it seemed to have been seasoned with star anise and had a cold crunch to it. The meat quality was average, and the marinade was honestly bland. The weak grill fans led to poor ventilation, allowing cooking smoke to hit your face. Our waitress constantly refilled our waters but didn't engage in conversation otherwise. Considering the price, there are comparable AYCE restaurants offering a better experience.
