I have mixed feelings about Ten Ren's at Square One. The bubble tea flavor is very yummy, which keeps me coming back. However, the service is consistently terrible. The staff are rude and not willing to listen to custom orders. They spend more time giving attitude and often mess up everyone's orders, making a fuss to get them right. While I enjoy the drinks, the poor service really detracts from the experience. If you're willing to put up with rude staff for a tasty bubble tea, you might still enjoy it, but otherwise, be prepared for some frustration.

The cashier that was working today at 1:22 p.m. with the flower hair clip was quite rude and unhelpful. I was using the tablet to order and I saw that today you had 20% off all drinks however it was not indicated on the tablet that the price was either already 20% off, nor did it say that it was going to apply 20% off. All she said was it's already on there. Naturally I didn't see it so I asked for clarification. So she points at a drink on a menu that I didn't even order and said this is the drink you ordered and it's normally this price. So I told her no I actually ordered something else. So because she is unable to communicate clearly, she decides to get snippy with me instead. What she should have said was the promotional pricing is applied on all the drinks on the tablet, or it could have clarified and said the original price for your drink was this so you are getting the promotional pricing, etcetera. Proton was quite rude and assumed that I was stupid when actually she was unable to communicate or assess accurately what the customer is asking of her

I'm only giving this store 2 stars for the following reason: they advertised a promotion in store to receive to receive a free tumbler with a $10 purchase. I made a $22 purchase and they refused to honour the promotion without explaining why my purchase wasn't eligible, despite me asking for clarification (and we saw tumblers being handed out to other customers around us). Felt deceptive.

The store recently renovated to now include some seating. Ten Rens focuses more on using high quality tea over other bubble tea stores. Their fruity smoothies are also very good. The mango coconut smoothie is my favourite. They use paper cups to better insulate the drinks so they stay colder or hotter for longer. Would definitely visit again.

Their black sugar milk tea is so good!!

I sometimes visit TenRen's Tea for a refreshing drink, so I decided to stop by this location, but it was a big disappointment. I ordered the Largo Hokkaido Milk Tea with grass jelly, which turned out to be very watery with hardly any flavour. Towards the end, I tasted something resembling milk jelly, which was definitely not what I ordered. This strange addition made the drink even less enjoyable. I ended up throwing it away without finishing it. The service was also lacking, and there was no seating area in the shop. I would think twice before visiting this location again.

Okay., So the Melon drink we ordered today was okay.. but they really need to watch their customer service.. the employee named “Cecillia” was taking our order. First of all, she was ignorant and then I just asked her “is this drink good. Her words were “why do you think I would say my drink is bad” and in a very rude manner. Bro! Get yourself a grip and just help your customers. You are working there on hourly basis and the customers would like a good service. There are people dying out there to get jobs! And she was just ungrateful! Looks like she was doing a favour while working there!

If you don't have tapioca, that fine but don't be rude when you tell the customer this. Its not the customers fault
