The Large fried chicken itself is pretty good. If you get anything else, be wary. Their other menu options are strangely not as tasty as the Large fried chicken. The 3 piece fried chicken was mediocre and the "spicy" version of it is just fried chicken rubbed with red chili powder. Not delightful.

This was my second time coming to Hot Star since the first time it was delicious, the service was great and only took 10 minutes. Today I went there for my second time and it was absolutely horrendous the cashier at the time was a young girl maybe in her 20's, I ordered 2 of the korean style chickens, one spicy BBQ chicken, and two of the regular cheese, I didn't bother to look in the bag since the first time was great, I went home and opened the bag to find, the two korean style chickens, a REGULAR BBQ chicken, and 2 SPICY cheese chickens, I immediately called the restaurant, the person who answered didn't pick up until the 7th ring and it was the owner, I told him everything and that I wanted a refund, he was very rude and ignorant while answering my questions and hung up on me right when i was going to say my final question. 71 dollars wasted today. never coming here again.

Not worth it for the price. $15 for a piece of fried chicken that is lukewarm and soggy. I ordered a fried cheese chicken and they made it spicy when I told the cashier I did NOT want it spicy. Don't recommend, there's better alternatives out there Hotstar is nothing special, mediocre at best.

Better and cheaper options out there, overrated for what they advertise themselves as. Wait time is tiresome and chicken is okay at best. Prices are wayyyyyy too high for what you get ($14+ for a piece of fried chicken). My experience at this location was very poor as the cook had incorrectly prepared my order. Called the restaurant to notify them only to hear that they no longer had the item available and was hung up on by the owner... DO NOT RECOMMEND, AVOID.

Got the spicy fried chicken and it was awesome. Big portions, really tasty, and the staff member was very nice. Probably the best fast food Fenech fries I've ever had, too. Definitely coming back.

While the seasoning and the batter may be similar to what is available in Taiwan. Who doesn't debone their chicken cutlets? Chicken breasts weren't flattened or deboned like they should be. XXL chicken should be big and flat.

I got a mild original chicken last night, the person working gave me a spicy one and after I took a bite I came back to correct his mistake and his response was to deep fry the piece I had already bitten for a minute to fry the spice off and just handed me back the chicken. I have some health concerns about how this place is being run.

JUST DON'T GO!! Ordered two servings of mushroom, and THEY WERE SOUR. The delivery platform contacted the owner and they just didn't care and refused to admit. They claimed that the mushroom should have sour taste originally, which was REDICULOUS because I've ordered this for 30+ times! I'll never come back and will tell everyone not to! They don't care about the food safety and their customers at all. They won't hesitate to put your health at risk for 5 bucks.

Not that busy, so it's fast to get chicken. Big chicken is always good.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. We used to love going to this location. We've always had a great experience except last night. My friends and I came in at 11PM, an hour before closing and ordered our usual, Popcorn chicken bento, Original large fried chicken and Fried fresh mushrooms with extra rice on the side. It wasn't a very busy night, there were a few customers ahead of us but it took 45 mins to get our orders out. Michelle, the server, told us they don't have enough rice for our order so she refunded us for the extra rice. And as soon as she handed us our food, she told us we can't eat there because they are ALREADY CLOSED. it was around 11:45PM when we got our orders, we still have 15min to eat. The fried mushrooms was half the amount of what we used to get and weren't fresh. I counted each of our bags and there were only 5 small mushrooms in each bag. We snacked on our mushrooms in the store and drove home after. As soon as we got home, we opened our bento boxes only to find out that the we got what looks like rice scraped from the bottom of the rice cooker. And our popcorn chicken wasn't 100% chicken. there were 4 fried mushrooms mixed in, instead of the popcorn chicken. It was the first time this ever happened and we're very displeased.
