This place was so cool! You order and pay via an app, and there's a ton of different food to choose from in many different styles. I highly recommend!

This place is a real experience. Multiple restaurants in one location. You order from your phone directly to the table you are seated at. An introverts dream, minimal talking to staff. But now for the main point of this review; should you venture to this place for thr food? Yes. Especially if you get the Katsu Sandwiches. Ordered a Pork Katsu sandwich, popcorn chicken and Chicken Katsu Sandwich for my table. The Katsu on each sandwich is delicious. Fried golden and crunchy, flavourful mouth watering interior. Perfection. Popcorn chicken it good. Nice crunchy exterior with succulent chicken in the middle. The spicy mayo for dipping is the best accompanying condiment. But back to the Katsu because they are the star of the several items we ordered. The Soft buttery toasted bread, with the cabbage and Japanese mayo is the best combination. I would want just a loaf of the bread with a side of mayo for dipping. It truly is the mvp of the day. Overall 7.5/10. Docked points for them seemingly forgetting parts of the order my table got, and having to ask a server twice to check up on it. Also cocktails are pricey here. And .5 off for their being a service fee for ordering through the app they direct you to use.

Ten bucks gets you about a dozen Asian-flavored (soy sauce, green onions, sesame seeds) chicken McNuggets except these are bigger and they're actual chunks of dark meat. Called ROK chicken or something. Great for a snack.

Stumbled across Mean Bao in the Annex Food Hall which has 6 restaurant choices, a beautiful bar with a wide range of local craft beer and a super friendly manager, and a touch of nostalgia with photos of old Toronto. I tried the Baos and the shrimp dumplings at Mean Bao. Both items were delicious.

Two locations within the store were closed. Our group tied one of each remaining location. Each store was fantastic. I loved the lamb roganjosh. Large size, $11 for lunch size combo. Beer options were the wide with a great helpful bartender. That part was what raised the level of this restaurant

Good selection of restaurants and beer. I like how there is comfort of food court and selection of various types of food but yet in more upscale yet relax atmosphere. Its a good place for a beer and bite with friends!

I have been a fan of the enoki mushroom boa for years and I was very disappointed with my recent order at this location. The tofu must have been soaking in brine because when I bit into them, they were super salty and watery - diluting the sauce (which I normally love) and dripping out all over my hands and the table. I’m giving it 3 stars when normally I would give it 5, and I’m posting this so that the owners are aware that some more training is needed for the person that prepared my meal. I hope my next order there will be as delicious as I normally expect it

The new SUPERFRESH Market is a great Annex addition. Incredible fresh food To Go (seating will not doubt return post-Covid) and the new Craft Beer Shop carries a rather stellar Ontario brew selection. Met some of the ownership and can feel good that shopping here supports local, decent people.

I ordered the Khao Soi (veggies & tofu, spicy 🌶) from Curry Up!’s (Annex Food Hall) Pop up by EAT BKK Thai Kitchen, and thought it was almost as good as PAI’s version, but a relative bargain at $14.95 with the free spring rolls thrown in via an Uber Eats deal. The same dish is $16.50 at PAI where the key difference in value is in their fresh egg noodles, which are perfectly chewy, yummy and delicious 😋. The EAT BKK’s spice level was runny nose good; this is a serious bowl of flavour and well portioned.

I’ve visited the food hall a few times and can honestly say that it’s lived up to my expectations each time. The atmosphere is welcoming with lots of choices to choose from, especially as a vegetarian where it’s sometimes difficult to find something I enjoy. I’ll continue to come back bringing new friends who have never been here before!
