The chicken was tender, sauce was great and just the right amount of spicy for regular. The rice balls were also good.

Jjimdak was great! The honey garlic pizza is overrated.

Small place with not too many tables and nice atmosphere. Got the honey garlic pizza that was mentioned a lot in reviews, it isn't anything special and someone who prefers savoury may be disappointed. Ordered the cheese jjimdak for 2 it was alright, I should have known not to get the vegetable add-on but I did and I think there were 3 carrot slices added to the dish. I did enjoy the glass noodles the most out of the "toppings". A green salad and a small dish of pickled radish was also served. Overall, good food but steep price for the amount included.

FREE WIFI. GREAT SERVICE! Food comes out pretty quick. Order at the front. Desk. There was a wait. Took down number and called us within 10 minutes for a table. We came maybe an hour before they closed. Red sauce. Boneless. CHEESE. With rice on the side. BTS ate at this restaurant. Seen this place on TikTok also. Amazing food. A must try! Very clean. Lots of free parking. Not many tables but it’s a small place. Highly recommend!

This place look very promising at first and we even waited outside for their doors to be opened. When we got inside the atmosphere was very nice but only 1 server and the place was very small. We wanted to try their rose jjimdak but they said it won't be ready for another hour so we had to settle for the cheese gochujang jjimdak. Among the side dishes there was nothing special and the corn cheese we order did not have enough cheese. The fried dumpling was also very plain. The jjimdak came but it did not look like it will feed 3 people. Very small and the chicken was not very tasty. It was spicy enough but with only 1 server the service was very lacking. Waited long time for some water, I feel sorry for the server since he was too busy by himself. Overall not a very good lunch. Will not come back again.

I visited here for the first time with my family, and the appetizer salad was free of charge, and the serving staff was very friendly. The food was also delicious, but I ordered 4 servings of chicken, but the amount of food was a little less than I thought.

I can on an afternoon where there was only one server. He was nice however it was really bad that we had to wait 45mins for our food. We saw a table leave after waiting over 30mins for their food. I would say it's unreasonable to be waiting close to an hour to get our food after ordering... The food was alright overall. We got the Creamy tomato one and it waz definitely pricier than expected as most of it was onions. With exactly two dumplings, two filled rice cakes and very little chicken and noodles. Sadly won't be coming back.

Meh experience - the food is subpar, the atmosphere isn't anything special, and the service is poor. I don't get the hype... We came to SsangKye Jjimdak on a Friday night as a party of 4. When we arrived there were no seats available so the server took my phone number and said he would call us when a table is ready, and told us the wait would be about 30 mins when he ushered us to leave. We left, but after not getting a call 30 mins later, we came back only to see 2 other groups seated (a party of 2 and a party of 4) that came AFTER us. There was a table empty that the guy said would take another 5 minutes to prepare. He proceeded to take his time doing all sorts of other things and then started clearing the table. When we were finally seated, we were ready to order. There was only one measly salad that came out as a side dish. All Korean restaurants serve side dishes, so this was kinda disappointing. We asked for the MILD spice level, but when the food came out, it was so spicy that it was practically inedible. We each had to get bowls of rice to cool down our pallettes as we ate the super spicy Jjimdak. One of my friends and I have lived in Korea, so we know what authentic Jjimdak tastes like, and this was subpar. The spice was probably to cover up the lack of flavour from the other ingredients. The server came to check-in on us once, and we had to constantly ask for water refills (due to the spice). Overall, this was a big MEH experience for something so hyped up on Instagram. We left disappointed and will not be returning.

I never tried jjimdak before, and it was a pleasant experience. I ordered the white cheese jjimdak with red sauce, which was very savoury with just the right amount of spice. The sauce blended well with all the ingredients too. Additionally, the chicken was my favourite part of the dish because it was cooked perfectly, was tender, and worked amazingly with the sauce. Moreover, the portions are good, I ordered the medium size for three people and we were all full by the end. I told the server to remove the pork dumplings from the dish because of a dietary restriction and they mentioned they would put more rice cakes as a substitution. I don’t believe this affected the dish that much as I thought it tasted great. Overall, it’s a good place to try jjimdak and enjoy a satisfying meal.
