The Keg Steakhouse +Bar - Mansion

First time at the Keg Mansion this weekend! We came on a Friday, the restaurant was fairly busy luckily we had made a reservation ahead of time. Our waiter was very friendly but service was a little spacey, we found he was quick to help tables with larger groups but forgot about smaller tables. We tried the hugo and lemoncello spritz from their summer menu. We both really enjoyed our mains. The lobster and crab oscar from the summer lobster fest menu was one of the best meals I’ve ever had at the Keg.

My boyfriend and I were very disappointed with the food and service on Friday night. I ordered a smaller sirloin while he had the 10ounce prime rib. While mine was cooked nicely his was more than half fat with some inedible hard bits too. It was not even appetizing to look at but he didn’t want to make a fuss because it was my birthday dinner. The server was less attentive as the night went on, he spent most of the time behind the bar mixing drinks…I didn’t think the restaurant was that busy since there were empty tables but our plates were sitting in front of us for about 40mins. I had heard rumours they celebrate your birthday with a slice of Billy Miner but that didn’t happen and we lost the will to order more the longer we waited for the plates to be cleared off. We won’t be coming back to the keg mansion any time soon no matter how beautiful the mansion is.

Came here for my girlfriends birthday. Food was great. Everything was fresh, tasty and presentation was fantastic. Our server Michael and the rest of the staff were super friendly and the service was very quick.

Took my mom out for her birthday to the wonderful Keg Mansion. Such a classy vibe there with old world charm. Our Server, Mike was amazing. The food was great. And they even put a candle in her birthday dessert. Awesome place, you can't go wrong here. Highly recommended!

This location is mainly known for its antique architecture and immersive ambiance. I loved the interior design - it definitely added to the experience while dining. As for food… that is where everything fell short compared to other locations. The steak and scallop dishes we’ve had were unfortunately noticeably cold when they arrived. I’ve ordered these dishes in the past where they were served still hot/warm and both were delicious. The calamari was sadly in the same situation. I wouldn’t return to this location unfortunately. 3/5 stars.

I can't wait to go back to Keg! The second time around was even better, especially when I was hanging out with my friends.

Not my favourite keg. Up until recently (aka within past 2 weeks) never ever had an issue with Keg’s forever reliably consistent steak grilling and always delivering the best medium rare finished with an excellent crispy Chicago-style char. Tried last week. Had to send it back twice. Service was excellent. Manager did not charge for the steak. I didn't ask her to waive the charge but did appreciate the gesture when i noticed it was omitted on the bill because the kitchen was super slow that night. Tried again, tonight, a week later. Let last week’s experience pass. Chalked it up to a bad night and frantically super busy restaurant -jammed evening. Nope. Kitchen just different. Maybe they just need the cook to drop by the location on Esplanade or King St W or Chicago 🤷🏻‍♀️ Didn't bother to send it back even though the great service offered. Ate it. Paid for it. Done with the Keg. (here?)

Ive been to this keg 20 times. I love it here, but my food is hit or niss at times. My rare steak was very overcooked this time outside of that you cannot go wrong with this location! Very pituresque and friendly servers.

I would say I really like the ambiance and atmosphere for this branch. Their classic style is really nice and different. Their service was excellent but I ordered salad and I really surprised because the portion was smaller than I expected normally for salad and it seemed like a side rather than appetizer and I’m not gonna order salad next time 🫤

The service was amazing, the appetizers were to die for, my only complaint is that my main course was only warm😞 so sad, I was looking forward to this dining experience so much and was a little underwhelmed by the star of the show, a.k.a. the prime rib and twice baked potato
