Descendant Detroit Style Pizza

Friendly staff, great tasting pizza. Topping combinations worked well and good crunch on the crust. There is more on the menu that we want to try next time. Only knock is that it’s not for those with light pockets.

First time trying Descendant after hearing so many raving reviews and it did not disappoint! From the service to the pizza, experience was amazing. Special shout out to Dwyane for being extra attentive in service and helpful in recommending options for the next time i come back!

Ordered a small Truff-Ghi pizza, which was enough for two people with a side salad. Loved the crispy edges and didn’t find it too oily for a deep dish pizza.

Great pizzas!! Even better than eating Detroit style pizza in Detroit. Only put 4 stars as they lacked proper vegetarian options. When eating pizza I love it to be simple, and a classic experience rather than a hybrid of many things on it. But otherwise, the pizzas are delicious!

The server was extremely friendly and helpful! We got a large Daddy’s Favourite pizza to share between two people and ended up having 2 slices left over. It was very good but a little on the salty side.

First time I dine in here. They taste even better straight right from the oven, directly to your table than trying them at home. This is quite a pizza! Detroit style and so crispy. Their Jaffna pizza is soooo goood! It's vegetarian. I literally dont know 80% of the ingredients, but it doesn't matter as it is that good. Very interesting, different and tasty options. Small place with a fast and friendly service. Definitely a place to check out in TO if you're a pizza lover!

Fantastic Pizza! We arrived at 11:50am, and got seated right away. We ordered 3 small pizza to share between the 5 of us, which are Pepperoni, No Name, and Truff-Guy. ✨ Highlights: Truff-Guy was so good! All the ladies rated that as our favourite, while the guys like Pepperoni the most. 🌟Other thoughts: - No Name is good too, it has a hint of sweetness from the hot honey sauce. - Service was great, friendly staff! - Be sure to come here earlier, since the shop is not that big, you’ll have to wait once it’s filled.

Shared a small Truff Guy pizza. Rectangle, 4 slices. Thick but not as thick/deep as I thought which was better for me. Crust was perfectly crispy and chewy at the same time and the ingredients were delicious. I didn't get as much truffle as I was hoping for. The ambiance was a bit lacking given the size of the overall place. Seemed like it was much more catered to take away and delivery business. Service was attentive given there weren't many seats. Would've been nice to have had a beer and slice combo or a few greener sides to accompany the pizza. But overall, for the next time, I'd go with more people to try more variety.

The shop had lots of space for dining in, and provides diners with a bottle of chilled water to accompany your meal. This pizza was absolutely our favourite! Crispy outside crust but not too thin. The topping did not overpower the crust either which can be a problem with a heavy topping pizza. We had the Truffle Aoli Mushroom Pizza with Caramelized Onions. Such a great combo! My husband and I shared a small, which gave us each 2 slices and it was perfect for a light lunch. Allowed us to carry on and have a treat later while we walked the neighbourhood. I would highly recommend this place to anyone checking out the neighbourhood. Even worth a drive out of the way 😉
