Felt really awkward about the last experience I had at the restaurant. I had been here for a few times. This time, they changed it to online menu and the menu offers a special discount of a dish and a discount for the side dishes for the fish and we ordered it. During dining, the waitress asked us if we wanted to have a lucky draw for Halloween promotion. We did and got a bubble tea. When we checked out, they said no discount for cash payment cause we got the bubble tea. We were actually ok about it. We also suggested them they should tell us in advance that we can’t have discount for the bill if we got the promotion of the lucky draw which we didn’t ask but the waitress came to us. And they told us we already had two discounts which is a discounted dish set on the menu and actually not only because of the bubble tea. We felt being blamed for ordering the discounted stuff they set on the menu. They shouldn’t set many promotions to attract customers to order and didn’t let us know we can actually only get one discounted item. Never going there again, especially when we wanted to make a suggestion to help the restaurant to serve better but what we got is blame that made ourselves feel bad about getting the benefits from here. It’s just so weird, I think the bill is just worth what we ate. If they were to not give any discount, they shouldn’t set the promo prices at the beginning. It just seems that they would suddenly change the rules to earn a little bit more. We felt scammed and also unsecured since all the ordering process (including the promotion) required you to leave down your phone number.

I think this is the only place in Toronto that matches the quality of charcoal grilled fish that you can find in China. I've been to many charcoal grilled fish places in Toronto, and this place is extraordinary and authentic. I got Bass fish which is bone-free.

The food is delicious and the portions are so generous! We were able to get the seasonal crab which was incredible, and we try to get a new dish every time — it never disappoints!

Honestly, an amazing place. The food is delicious and the taste of the potatoes was out of this world. I also had the crab, corn pancakes, among others that were also quite good. I am definitely come back.

Came to Papa Spicy today for a late lunch. Braised beef with rice was definitely the winner amazing tasting beef and not much fat which is difficult to find. Also must try the blue crabs!

The fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and tender inside. The spice level was just right. The roasted vegetables were a nice touch, and the portion was generous. Highly recommend!

Been ordering from this place on UberEats, first time dining in. The food was incredible, much better experience dining in. Highly recommend their tilapia in chilli sauce.
