Hancook Cheese Dakgalbi

We got the Cheese Dalkgalbi! It was amazing, we will come again for sure. Highly recommend.

Came to toronto for a vacation and the cheese dakgalbi was SO BLAND! Was not worth it at all, was probably the worst meal of my entire trip. I didn’t finish my food and gave my leftovers to a homeless person cause I was not finishing it.

This place blew my mind, for those of you who’ve never had cheese Dakgalbi, it is something you have to try and I think this is the place you should try it for the first time. The owner is so sweet, he’s attentive and kind. I will be recommending to everyone I know!

One of my fav spots to eat in Toronto! The dakgalbi, pork soft tofu stew and porek fried rice are my go-tos because they are just so homey and the perfect balance of savoury and spicy. Portions are filling and service is always super friendly and attentive on the many occasions I have been. Super underrated!

We weren’t really hungry and came in for a quick bite craving something spicy snd ordered the 해물짬뽕, it was pretty good, solid 7.5/10. Was spicy and smokey enough - but could’ve been stronger. They used udon noodles instead of the typical ones which added a nice chewy touch.

The 2 of us ordered one serving of Cheese Dakgalbi ($18.99) with extra glass noodles ($3) as a topping. It came with corn & pickled radish banchan (not sure if you can ask for refills or not) and overall was suuuuper filling!! Flavours were great and authentic too, it reminded me of when I visited Korea. They were generous with the mozzarella :) Their veggie mandu was so good too, made fresh to order! (not pictured) We wanted to get the fried rice topping but you have to order min. 2 servings for that :( There's also a 10% cash discount! My only criticism is that the service was quite slow despite it not being too crowded, and they weren't too attentive either. They were still very kind though!

I ordered pork dakgalbi as to go. The dish smelled good and the taste was exactly what I want to! So happy to ordered for tonight dinner!

Very comforting food. The stringiness of cheese just makes everything better.

The cheese dakgalbi is good, but I wouldn't get the seafood soft tofu soup. It's a small portion that comes with one small shrimp, a few small claims, and two mussels that are not open
