M’Eat Resto Butcher

First time I ever wrote a review but what occurred here needed to be said. I booked a reservation for a b-day party of 4 at 7pm on Friday. We showed up and the restaurant was closed, weird. So we walked around back to the patio and there was a party of 14 seated, weird. Walked into the kitchen to find the owner and find out what's going on. The owner Cam said he booked a private party of 14 instead so basically we were out of luck. He never called or cancelled our reservation, he blamed it on his front of house staff (who later told me he did it on purpose). Diner beware, Cam has a high chance to screw over your reservation. Avoid this place if possible.

Came here 2 weeks ago for the dinner tasting menu and was disappointed by my experience here. The server dropped the kebab on the table then just scooped it back on the plate. They served us (5 people) the same amount of steak frites as the next table over (3 people) but presumably charged us the same (since it was a tasting menu and they charge per person). They talked up the foie gras in the beginning, but I've had much better foie gras at many other places. The duck breast was very dry.

Fantastic experience. My fiancé and I had the meat platter (striploin, duck breast, and foie gras) with a smoked burrata. I've eaten at Jacob's and Harbour 60 and a few other top "steak" resto's. This by far exceeded any of the places I've been in the city. Al - you rock, service was prompt and precise. A very enjoyable experience overall. We can't wait to go back!

Excellent tasting menu with different types of meat (animals) and great explanation of what farm and area the meat is coming from and which cut one is eating. Very laid back vibe. Love it

Beware of the price since it's not visible to the customers. Went in for brunch, after we were seated we were told that it was meat tasting brunch. We were excited and told the price which was $40. Thought it was reasonable until you see how little the portions are. Definitely not worth spending $110 for brunch for 2 people!!

DO NOT WASTE MONEY. NO MENU JUST WHAT THEY HAVE. Made us wait 2 hrs for all the food while ignoring us then served us poor appetizers and called it a dinner and WAY overcharged us. 700$ and we were still hungry and it was my BDAY. It's not special meat just meat and the atmosphere sucked like you were in a barn and the bbq looks like they pulled it out of the garbage. Never getting ripped off again!

One of the best meals I've had in a while. The food is unique, delicious and flavourful. We went for the tasting menu option and every course was very different. We also liked the ambiance and the service. The "no menu" was fun too, it felt very "homey" and and almost created this feeling of being in Argentia or Italy. Absolutely fantastic restaurant.

The prices are far - BUT VERY FAR - away from reality. The dishes are very small and overpriced. I left the restaurant starving, and paid an extremely expensive bill. Although the environment and staff are friendly, the prices are dishonest. I go out every weekend to different places in the city - and this one I'm definitely not going back!

Food was excellent and atmosphere is lovely however staff was horrible. Got the taster menu for a group of people, everything was super small apatizers and paid a ridicules amount of money to walk out hungry. We were never offered full size options. When we were done and wanted the bill we were skipped over several times and ignored while other guessed were severd even after requesting bill. Will not be going back here.

A very disappointing dinner experience. Food was not at all up to the expectations and greatly overpriced for the quality & taste you can get at other restaurants in the area.
