Manpuku Japanese Eatery

Very cozy and authentic Japanese restaurant. It's close to OCAD University and is budget friendly for students and families. We ordered the Curry Udon (beef) and the Yakitori Don. I preferred the former. We also shared the Takoyaki for appetizers. The staff is friendly and efficient but the restaurant itself is quite warm. Not sure if the AC broke down the day I went for dinner.

Pretty good food. Not amazing but it's really good for quick cheap eats. The beef in the udon was disappointing, but the udon itself and broth were really good. Tip: the restaurant is inside a food court so it can seem a little hard to find.

Didn’t have high expectations when I walked inside the center, but this place is pretty good. Authentic flavours and friendly staff and has separate seating too. Best part is they have an option to have vegetarian broth. I had the fish noodles and the vegetarian with seaweed option too. You don’t get MUCH meat or tofu in it, wish there was more but you get literally tiny pieces of tofu and fish, but plenty of noodles (which was what I was craving anyway).

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and we were lucky thaI really like this restaurant and we'll be back again. It's a very cozy place with delicious food.

Amazing deal for the price you pay. Their ramen is delicious and have cheap sides as well. It gets very busy around lunch time, so I would avoid going at the lunch rush (12-1pm). Highly recommend this local gem!

Had a wonderful experience here!! I ordered the ramen here and it was so good🥰 Extremely tasty and the noodles were perfectly cooked! In addition, this place is very affordable as well! The service was wonderful and the ambiance was cozy.

I was looking for a restaurant for dinner in the area. From the Maps, I found a 4.7 / 5.0. Went there to try. It was actually a food court store at Village by the Grange on Dundas. Walked around the food court, I saw Manpuku. There were customers lined up. I thought they were buying take out. I lined up to see. Actually, they were waiting for dine in. Just by myself, ok, it did not take long, so I dined in. To be honest, it's a small restaurant. Customers are sitting close. I checked on the menu through the phone. There were 3 waitresses came asked if I were ready. All staff were Japanese. Ramen was out. I ordered Natto udon and Chawamushi in chicken broth. They tasted good. Size of udon was not big, the prices were fine though. The waitresses were fine serving with smiles. Many young people enjoying there. The receipt they give and pay when leaving at the pay area. Though the receipt uses the word "Cash", they take debit and credit cards too. Enjoy it there.

The food was amazing. Loved the taste and the restaurant. My food took a little longer to prepare than promised. Overall, one of the best Japanese experiences in Toronto. Will definitely visit again.

So delicious and also easy on the wallet !!! Ordered Niku udon (pork as they ran out of beef but still delicious), Chawanmushi and daily cake (yuzu cheesecake).
