Final farewell to the Sherway Pickle Barrel. Not many menu options left on the last day, but server Rebecca was awesome as always.

An absolutely incredible dining experience! We were served by Rebecca who was top notch. My twins even said "she is the best server ever!" Rebecca was incredibly attentive. My kids were sad by the lack of crayons and Rebecca handed over her pens for them to use. She even mentioned that she would be going to the dollar store to personally buy some. The portion sizes were large- the kids spaghetti and Caesar salad (as pictured). The kids were a tad upset that the ice cream sundae didn't look quite as pictured (think larger dipping sauce container). Rebecca overheard about the lack of cherries and promptly brought out a plate of 7. The Ruben sandwich was delicious. We also had a side order of onion rings which, again, was a generous portion, and perfectly cooked. Kevin the Manager was very gracious after we shared our amazing dining experience. The waitress we had was so polite and very helpful. She checked on us a few times making sure we had everything we needed. There was no wait time and the bill was cheaper then we were expecting. Which is always a bonus. The food was delicious and we were satisfied with everything. Would definitely recommend this place to couples, groups or families.

We had a great lunch outing at Pickle Barrel, Sherway Gardens. Our server was prompt and friendly. Food was prepared fresh and tasted great. SUER big portions ! Excellent value for money. Will most definitely return again.

Went there for dinner tonight, was looking for a quick bite while at the mall and happened to stumble upon this place, always heard about it always pass by it never actually tried it until today. Our waitress Bruna was pleasant, we never at any point felt hounded or rushed by her and she got our orders in a timely manner as well as gave my daughter a free cookie which I thought was very sweet and thoughtful! The food was good and plentiful, I was reading some of the reviews and people were saying the portions were to small and not worth it and I didn’t see that, I ordered a chocolate milkshake and couldn’t finish it and the Caesar salad and my paella rice were pretty generous sizes as was my wife’s chilli dog and fries which she wasn’t able to finish as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here and will definitely return in the future to try the other items in the menu.

We love Pickle Barrel! What an amazing restaurant! Kevin is one of the best people! The way we see him care for his staff and all the customers is commendable. The Hostess and wait staff are always so friendly. The food is delicious and served hot! Definitely will be returning!!

We needed a place to go to celebrate my mothers birthday and picked this location as we had been here once before and had a good experience. This time it was not very good. And almost entirely due to the service. Unfortunately, your impression of a restaurant can be heavily based on the experience you have with your server and the overall service you receive. In this case, my personal experience of this restaurant was reflected by the poor service we received on this special occasion. I called to make a reservation and told them specifically it was for a birthday and could they do like a dessert or something special with a cake. The person I dealt with said they could not do an entire cake (which was fine) and to just inform the hostess when we arrived and tell them. When we arrived and were greeted by the hostess, I spoke to her privately and told her that it was my mother's birthday and could they do a cake at the end of meal. She said they could do a piece of cake (with candles) that they were serving that day and I chose one from the ones available. When our server finally came around after a long wait, I could tell (and my mother confirmed this later) that our server was not friendly at all and we felt as though we were a bother to her. We put in our orders, and my mother requested her tea be served with her meal as she usually does and this is not usually an issue. I ordered a coffee and it was very good. We all had a variety of different meals and all tasted very good. I had a waffle with strawberries and it was excellent. But my mother was never served her tea until we asked again. And whenever we requested something from our server it seemed to be a long wait or we had to ask twice and we felt like we were being a nuisance to her. As we were finishing our meals, I got the impression based on our servers attitude, that she either didn't care or remember about my mother's birthday. So I left the table to find her. I asked if she knew about my cake request that I made with the hostess and she said she did not. So I had to tell her which cake I had chosen and to please bring it out as we were all finished our meals. Eventually, the server did bring out the cake with candles, but just put it down in front of my mother without a word. I'm giving this place two stars because at least the food and the coffee were very good. But due to the poor service, on what should have been a happy, special occasion, our server left us with a bad impression of this restaurant. And because of that I cannot recommend the Pickel Barrel, nor would I return.

We had 3 orders of fish and chips, salad and a couple of pops and coffee. They give you a complimentary dish of pickles as you wait for your food. We got an extra round of pickles... teen boys just inhaled those really quickly... twice. Pickle Barrel is now owned by Recipe. The menu's been reduced and so they kept most of their top selling items. I wish they gave complimentary warm pumpernickel bread and butter like they did years ago. Complimentary bread is always a good thing. We like the pickles, but it may not work well if everyone. Warm, fresh baked bread is always a winner! The hostess and servers were pleasent. I would definitely come back to this location. Thanks
