Chutney Swamy

I have come here several times since it opened several years ago and the food is always DELICIOUS, HOT AND FRESH! I have tried everything from the chaats to the dosas to the uthapaams to the bhaturas and more! Their brunch is also great!!! This is the only south Indian place I go to! Growing up in the 90s and 2000s, this did place did not exist, and the ones I would go to with my family have all gone down in quality such as Masala Dosa Hut and Saravana Bavaan.

Yummy bhel puri. Management owner doesn't seem to care about the quantity they serve in terms of chutney, channa. The food is good but quantity is too less and most of all horrible service from waiter. Waiter is very rude and has an attitude. Does not even clean the place.

Been here a few times and the experience was different every time. Sometimes the food was fresh and delicious otherwise not. It would be good if they could maintain the taste and freshness. Service is quick.

I am at the restaurant ,while I am writing this review. Tasteless food . Sour Lassi ,sour Medu Vada .Waiter / Server not to be seen for a long time .We are at his mercy to order food or to ask something we need. Ignorant about menu items and "Additional charges" is told when asked ( when asked for additional items).Service is lousy.

My sister ate the pav bhaji and has been running to the washroom for 3 days....my dad also ate the same thing and stomach was upset for 2 days. We think this is a hygiene issue in the kitchen.. shes never gotten this sick from indian food before.

Chutney Swamy is an excellent place for delicious south indian fare.. they serve lipsmacking varieties of dosa, uttappam, idli-sambhar & chutneys! A clean place serving fresh food & VFM!

DONT DO IT. I wish I could give them a negative rating. To eat their plain dosa I had to use a hammer. It felt like eating oily glass. Their sambhar even a toddler can make. Just boil water and dump tomatoes and sambhar powder and mix it. Horrible food even for free.

This place has 60+ Dosa varieties. We started with some starters like mirchi Bajji and Vada. They were really good. We tried Rava Masala Dosa and Masala uttapam. Uttapam was fantastic. Filter coffee was perfect!! I will definitely go back and try different varieties of dosa here:) Overall loved everything!! :)

We went here on a Saturday and the place was surprisingly empty. However, the food was great. The service was quick and good. I am often picky about south Indian food (probably since I know it well) and I definitely recommend this restaurant. Their chilli bajji, medu vada, masala uttappam and rava onion masala dosa is recommended. And don't forget to try their filter coffee, its pretty good! So far, Gurulukshmi was the only South Indian restaurant in the GTA that I recommended with confidence to anyone. Chutney Swamy is right up there!

Great place for a quick dinner. Frequent it often. The Mysore dosa and Idly bath are particularly good. Staff is warm and friendly though they seem to be overworked sometimes during peak hours.
