Was not impressed with the wings. They were classic and looked uncooked. The wings were stringy. The sauce was good, but I would skip out on the wings. Their poutine and pizza are the better option. They are also closing down.

Was disastrous dinner. Was there on 3rd Oct evening. This place was good which has turned into a disaster. Waited 45 minutes just to place order. Had to walk around the restaurant to hold onto a person who can take our order. Finally girl at the bar came down to take order. Once food was served, there were no followup visits to the table, not even to top up drinking water !!! Even to pay bill, had to run around the restaurant again to get someone. Service was atrociously poor as we had to spend nearly two hours for a simple dinner. What we heard from staff present, It looks like current management is handling the restaurant matters pathetically as there is just one person to handle entire restaurant service including bar. Think twice as it appears to be not the same Bier Markt anymore.

Started going here as an alternative to other competitor brewery's. Loved the food and the beer selection. Unfortunately, yesterday, Sunday Sep 29th, I went in for a late lunch at around 2:35pm. Sat at the bar and waited at least 10 minutes before anyone saw that I was there. After the server took my order, I waited another 15 minutes just to get my drink. The manager who just showed up at the bar, asked me if I had ordered. I told her yes, but had been waiting all that that time with no drink in front of me yet. She served my drink, but she was not very open to what I had just gone through and still gave me a arrogant attitude. My server did come and apologized for "forgetting" about me, but I did understand that it was not her fault, since she was serving the bar and tables. Food came, tasty as always, then the bill. Instead of a nice gesture, like a complimentary drink or dessert, I still got charged more for my second beer, being out of the 3 o'clock range. Tipped my server and told her to tell her manager that I would not be coming back again, nor recommending the Bier Markt at Square One.

Took around 45 min to get appetizers to our table, which were brought along with our entrees. By then the sun had set on the patio and we ate our food in the dark. Repeatedly, servers delivered the wrong food to our tables, asking if this, or this or this was our order and even told us the wrong beer when we got a beer flight. Seriously, the food was dry and portions were way overpriced! (I got 5 onion rings!)

Unfortunately we were seated in an area where most tables were reserved for an upcoming function (an hour later) and feel like maybe they forgot about us, it took 30 minutes to be asked what drink we would like and weren’t even given water to start. The couple beside us gave us a good laugh and said it was their first date and they definitely had a lot to talk about with the service. The manager (I believe) was quite nice after we flagged him over.

We held an event at Bier Markt and we were impressed with the great service. They were easy to work with and we could tell they were doing their best to make our event great. We had a private area near the bar and we had use of the screens, microphone and stage. It was hard to hear people speaking at the microphone due to the overall noise of the restaurant. It's a great central location and a great place to hold a private function.

My foodie step son loved this place and can't wait to go again. The food was great, hot and good portion sizes. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great beer selection and good wings. I’ll be back when I’m in town.

Service is prompt and polite. Food was fantastic, beers were cold. Nothing to complain about. Ideal experience, great environment.

Went there for their oyster deal tonight...they seated us at a table in the patio with a dead mouse underneath the table. After we told them about it...they just moved us to another table without really doing anything about what happened. Not the best experience (my first time at this location)...I won't be coming back but thought I would share this experience. I hope Bier Markt will watch out for this moving forward...most customers would freak out but we were ok to be seated at another table. I am surprised the manager never came out to greet and apologize on the experience though, it was definitely not that busy either.
