I been all over the world and this place is one of the best! Joseph was amazing, great service. Food is awesome, atmosphere is pleasant, nice decor, all top notch!

The food was amazing. Great menu selection. Service was great. Beautiful atmosphere.

The main host who may have been the Owner at the front did accommodate us although we were without a reservation. While waiting for the food the host was speaking to all the other patrons. It seemed like he was actively avoiding our table which made us feel excluded and out of place. The food was delicious although it took a little time. The waiter A was friendly and very sweet walking us through the specials. I will think twice in recommending family and friends! 🙏🏾

This place has the smoothest sliding chairs I have ever experienced in a restaurant setting. You want to slide back to get up, easy. You want to slide laterally for a photo with a family member, you can do that too. The chairs are apparently from wayfair, if you are inspired to purchase the chairs.

This was one of, if not the, best restaurant and dining experience I have ever had. My fiancé and I went for dinner and I got the chicken special (stuffed chicken, garlic mashed potato, and asparagus) and he got the Linguine Frutti di Mare. Both were incredible. Serving sizes were generous and everything was so flavourful. You could tell they took time and care with every aspect of the meal. Anthony, the owner/partner, was so kind and personable and really made the experience that much better. I am recommending this restaurant to everyone in my family. My parents are already planning to go! Also - the B52 cheesecake is to die for. It’s homemade and I’ll be dreaming about it until my next one!

This place is a hidden gem! My husband and I went here for a birthday dinner and we wish we had discovered it earlier. The wine and pasta dishes were to die for and our server was friendly and passionate about each of the dishes. We will definitely be back!

I was pleased with the staff. Our waiter was just awesome. The meal my wife had looked great and was-fantastic. Same with other meals that were served at the table. I ordered the gnocchi and was not impressed. I’m not going to go into detail but it was not enjoyable. If you wanna a have a real unforgettable plate of gnocchi check out pasqualino’s in Milton. Then tell me I’m wrong Overall I will return to mikes back door for another meal but it won’t be for a plate of pasta.

This might be the only Italian restaurant I would go back to. Most Italian restaurants I dined at have been bland and basic, but this place is an exception. The man who served us was able to answer our questions about the menu. He paid attention to detail and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Amazing service. There were little things about the restaurant that made a good impression on us like the cute lamp on the table, and the top of of bread and butter. Don't skip out on the dessert menu, it is to die for!

Michael’s Back Door never disappoints. The ambiance, food and service is amazing. We have held all of our smaller events here for the last 30 years and have always been completely beyond satisfied. It’s also our favourite dining spot. Michael is absolutely wonderful and accommodating and so was his wonderful father. Best Italian food in the GTA.
