My favourite pho place in town, their satay sauce is legendary. Sad to see it’s closed but happy to hear the owners are going to retire and enjoy life. Many good memories left there, cheers to Bach Yen!

We’ve been huge fans of Bach Yen since 2013 and absolutely wanted to make one last visit this final week to say goodbye. Every meal cooked with love and served attentively by the owner couple, you will be sorely missed as our beloved spot for Vietnamese cuisine, you serve the tastiest pork chop on rice ever! Thank you for feeding us over the years! Every dish was enjoyed immensely, wishing you both a happy healthy retirement!

Small 'mom and pop' restaurant, food was good, service was good, the only odd thing was cash only.. no debit. Though e-transfer was ok.. just had to set it up as a payee in my bank app. Overall a good experience!

No fancy decor, a small and old fashion restaurant but their foods and services are super. The soup base for the Pho are so tasty and you won't feel thirsty after, that means they have no msg added. Just so sad to know the owners are going to retire in two weeks.

Don’t let the simplicity of decor sway you - the broth at this pho spot is delicious. Nice owners too. Cash or etransfer only.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for a couple of years and tried all of the Vietnamese restaurants in the ‘hood at least a couple of times. This one is the best. It’s not the prettiest restaurant in town but the owners/staff are wonderful and the food is 🔥🔥🔥. Love live Bach Yen Recommended dishes: satay beef noodle, bun no hue, duck noodle soup, mango salad, avocado smoothie

Love this place! The food is always fresh and so delicious. It's definitely a gem in Riverdale. I highly recommend this place. The owners are friendly, you always feel welcome when you go in. The place is definitely a little dated when it comes to looks, but we all should know to never judge a book by its cover. Thanks for the yummy foods 😋 😊
