Doner Kebab House

This place is not fancy and neither is the food. In fact, if I'll be honest, both kind of look like trash. It's not a balanced meal, I highly doubt it's anything close to healthy, and sometimes I feel like it's a bit too saucy. But my God, it is good. After graduating from Waterloo, I have been desperately looking for a shawarma joint that makes me feel the way I do when I eat Mozy's. This didn't get there, but it was damn close. I almost always get the chicken on rice, with garlic sauce and extra hot sauce. The hot sauce is homemade and unlike any other hot sauce I've had at a middle eastern place. The chicken is seasoned well, the rice is probably stuffed with butter, but I always finish my plate wanting more. It also helps that the owners, an older couple, are extremely nice. I've heard they may be closing down/moving storefronts soon, so please - patronise them before they're gone.

This place has some of the best doner kebab I've had. The mixed platter with rice is my go to choice. Their meat is well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The best parts of the meal are their homemade doner sauce, which is the perfect combination of smoky and spicy.

A real 5 stars and the best Doner ( Turkish style shawrma) place in Toronto with high-quality foods and reasonable prices. Family owned business. The flavors of their Kebab sandwich , garlic and hot souce is amazing. Eating here for more than 15 years and always so delicious and fresh.

i'm in the midst of a google review rampage and remembered this place. i googled it expecting to find a 3 star rating tops, but was pleasantly surprised to see the masses rank it closer to what i feel it is- a five. there exists a contingent which places a great deal of emphasis on the aesthetics of a dining establishment. i suspect said contingent would have a field day systemically disassembling doner kebab, but thank god they've stayed away from this mecca of middle eastern delights. this is a place that serves one purpose: to make great westernized middle eastern food. and it does that in spades, my friends. the "vibe"? there is no "vibe", you animal- this place isn't about that and if that's one of the criteria you judge places based on, don't bother coming. the "vibe" is quintessential grimy downtown express eatery. classic. beautiful. the food is damn great. i've been coming here for over 15 years and have never been let down once. normally not a hot sauce guy, but theirs is downright CRACK- it's so extremely tasty and addictive. i've begged and pleaded for the owner to give me the recipe for the better part of a decade now, but he's relentless in his guarding of the recipe. rightfully so, sir. i won't even bother going into specific dishes, because they're all splendid. the meats are so well seasoned and perfectly cooked- i love how the shawarma gets that awesome fat rendering deep flavour crunchy crust. just go. go everyday. go everyday and go heavy on the hot sauce. listen to me.

Been coming here for years and always so delicious. This place takes a spot in my top 3 for sure...I might even say it's my #1. Everything they serve up is so good. Even when I'm full, I want more. Only con is it's about a 45min drive and the inside is tiny, but who cares when food keeps you this satisfied, right??

This is my favourite. Any of there meats and rice & potatoes with their amazing garlic sauce and hot sauce. Dynamite, it’s my go to, they’ve been there forever, I’ve been going for a few years. They’re friendly, you can take out or sit and eat. Never disappointed. 👌🏼👍🏼 🇹🇷 🇨🇦

Delicious, affordable food, Turkish style shawarma. Quirky owners but super friendly. It's cash only. Their homemade hot sauce is the reason we go there. Seats 16 people so groups would have to go early, but most people take out. 11/10 recommended.

Was walking along Yonge when I saw two guys go in. I would have easily missed the place if it wasn't for the two gentlemen. Being the curious tom I peeked in through the door to see a small shabby place. Looks dont matter to me when it comes to food. In I popped and ordered the chicken and rice combo. The guy behind the counter asked me to pay before I ordered and the person near the billing machine muttered something to him in Arabic and he cheerfully asked for my order. He explained about two items I was confused about and, looking at my south Asian face, helpfully suggested if I'd like my dish spicy. The serving was in a styrofoam plate (so environment unfriendly). The portion seemed small but was decent enough to fill my stomach. The hot sauce wasnt spicy enough for my tongue but tasty, yes. The chicken shawarma portion was decent. They also throw in a big potato piece in the dish, which, was the only let-down. The rice is tasteless as well and you need to rely on the chicken and the "hot sauce" (lol) to give the rice any flavour. The garlic sauce wasnt garlicky enough. Overall, a decent meal if you want to try some turkish food for cheap. I'd spend a few more dollars and eat at a better place though. It mainly seems to be a place for office-goers in the area.

Small kabob shop, food was amazing and people who work there are super friendly! Hot sauce they put on the kabobs are pretty freaking tangy and hot at the same so must try! Will be back again next time I’m in Toronto.
