Came here for the $50 5 course meal, it was definitely affordable for the amount of food. Sadly, a lot of the foods were all way too sweet, and eventually the meal was so heavy/fatty towards the end it was a bit hard to finish (seafood tower, lobster taco). Still yummy though, just wish the sweetness didn't overpower everything. We also sadly couldn't taste the lobster in the lobster taco... Too much mayo and it sort of tasted like imitation crab. The vibes were nice and the staff were very attentive and friendly!

Great spot, fairly priced too. This spot is definitely for smaller groups so think twice before bringing a huge group in. The tables are almost set up perfectly for pairs! Sushi was nice and fresh, and overall the food was nice. The beef brisket dish we order was very tender and tasted good but the "smoke" flavour which i believe was liquid smoke, was most definitely over powering and left an unpleasant after taste lingering in your mouth. I wouldn't order that or the duck fried rice again.

Such a great dining experience with great quality of food. We did the 5 course spring tasting menu which also comes with one drink and it was such a great value for the portions and quality of food. We were definitely satisfied/full but not uncomfortably stuffed. The service and wait times were also very good. Highly recommend!!

The staff were attentive and warm and professional. They were probably the most positive aspect of our visit for dinner here.
The food was at best “fine”, and honestly speaking looked and tasted almost like they were made by someone starting out in the industry.
We had the $50 five course offer.
The miso soup was pretty decent.
The beef tataki was swimming in this watery sauce and just really was not appetizing. I ate the beef anyway not to waste the meat. It was garnished with these room temperature and stale chips.
The scallops tasted off somehow. Couldn’t tell why. The texture was okay. Wasn’t sure if it was the sauce. Again, this dish looked just really unappetizing. The sauce was messy and it looked like just food randomly plopped on a plate.
The lobster tail meat was tough, and it was served on top of this room temperature potato salad that tasted okay but really wasn’t something I found appetizing and didn’t eat much of.
The dessert was an assortment of two flavours of crème brûlée - one matcha, and one that tasted like your standard crème brûlée. Both were runnier/ softer than the texture I typically expect from a crème brûlée. Flavour was fine, nothing special. There were also these small chocolate truffles(?), which were again nothing special. Then there were some orange slices…
It felt like I wasted my money in terms of the value for what I got. I didn’t really enjoy any of the dishes.

Went there for the Spring Menu. It is definitely worth it! Great food with big portions. Highly recommend it!

We got the fixed price menu here which included five courses Plus a drink. In addition, we also ordered oysters on the half shell and the wagyu sushi.
The value is amazing for the amount and quality of the food that you get on the fixed price menu. We got the fish carpaccio, nigiri, Sea bass, and more! The fish was all fresh. The only part that I didn't enjoy was the dessert which consisted of a small slice of cheesecake and some brownies.
I wouldn't say that it's the best sushi or seafood that I've ever had, but just the value makes it worth it.
Note that for the drinks they only have one choice of mocktail. For weekends, I highly recommend that you make a reservation.

I had high expectations coming to dine because of the high reviews. Service was excellent and the vibe is great. But overall IMO the food was good but not spectacular. What had somewhat affected my experience from the getgo was , I have to say, the miso soup. It was served warm at best. I deducted a full star for that. We ordered the set menu which is good value - $50 for a 5 course that includes an alcoholic drink. We also ordered some extra sashimi and dozen oysters on the side. The sashimi also doesn't feel fresh, so that was a second disappointment. The rest are tasty. The beef and tuna tataki were not bad. The beef were pretty small slices tho, but portion wise is decent. We also ordered the chicken drumsticks and the scallops. I did enjoy the scallops, they were large and cooked well. As part of the set menu - which do give a variety of choices - we ordered the so-called seafood tower (which is really a sushi bed with a variety of sashimi on top) and the salmon Oshi. Both were good. I like the texture (some crunchy sweet candy like) on top of the oshi. Finally the dessert was homemade gananche chocolates and two flavors of creme brule - earl grey and vanilla. I was never a fan of creme brule so I didn't enjoy it that much. I'm sure for those who love them, they would enjoy it. Overall, it didn't live up to my expectations but it's a decent spot for a modernized japanese dining experience for those looking for something different than the traditional Japanese cuisine.

We went here for the spring deal. $50 for a 5 course and drink deal was hard to pass. They have a few items for 50% as well which includes a few wagyu beef dishes. Overall, I didn't like how every dish was heavy on the sauce. The sushi quality wasn't the best but it is the best bang for your buck. The tataki dishes were good but again too much sauce. The cod was good but the pan seared scallops was over cooked. The seafood tower was underwhelming but the rolls weren't bad. The desserts came in 3 different flavors of creme brulee. The matcha was the best, earl Grey and vanilla was meh. The cocktails weren't bad if you like it on the sweeter end. We left stuffed so don't order the side items if you can't eat too much.

Excellent food, fantastic value for money specially their 5 course menu for $50 each. Good amount of food portion, amazingly presented. And the best part about the restaurant is the service. All the servers are very attentive and friendly with good recommendation skills.

Absolute love their food! I usually go for the rolls and the Taco wasabi but yesterday I tried their spring set menu and it delivered!
For the drink I had "a night in sapporo", followed by miso soup, lobster tacos, hamachi tataki and the blaze seafood tower. For dessert there was cheesecake with mango yuzu jello , chocolate truffles and the best creme brulee ever.
