The menu here is well thought out and your dishes arrive at just the right time. I have always been very pleased with my meals at Bar Buca. Great service and knowledgeable staff. The coffee/pastry bar in the front is definitely pricey, but other than that everything is superb. It’s a little (true) taste of Italy in King West!

This restaurant could be so much better! Pizza is amazing but it’s insanely tiny and sometimes they’re cheap with the toppings.. Portions are for birds honesty, not grown men.. prices are not high until you see the portions then it’s pretty high. And what’s up with the oil? Literally every item is DROWNED in olive oil. Although some are really good, it’s just swimming in olive oil and it kinda makes your stomach upset a little. It’s still a good restaurant but it could be so much better!

For a restaurant with this rep fairly disappointed in lack of flavours on all the dishes. Pizza was decent but not unique in any regard.

Food was good but with all that I heard about Buca my expectations were a bit high. Service was good except I had no clue who was actually taking care of us as we were helped by 3 different servers. All were pleasant but only one was very knowledgeable. Atmosphere was not what we expected. Small location and felt a little sterile. Would go back and try new things now that we know what to expect.

One of my favourite places for brunch, coffee and pastries. Always amazing food and great service.

This is my first time here and it gives me a good expression. The following pictures are the dishes which the waiter recommended and we ordered at last. The waiter is very nice and patient. He knows all of us cannot speak English fluently and helps us a lot. But I think eating here is a little expensive.

Worst service I’ve ever encountered. The server (I don’t know his name because he was never at our table) provided VERY limited service to our table. He introduced himself to us and took our beverage drinks, and did not return to our table until he was handing us our checks. He never checked in on us, refilled our waters, asked us for additional food or beverage orders, etc. My food was disappointing and border-line chilled/cold. The server assistant and manager were very attentive and helpful, but the server provided very bad service that ruined our experience at Bar Buca. We came to Toronto for a fun girls weekend that was meant to be full of splurging on good drinks, food and service – but was disappointed by our visit at Bar Buca. We received better service and quality at a cheap hole-in-the-wall bar down the street (which is the first time I’ve ever had to say that). Will not be returning at any point.

I was blown away! My meal was delicious. The service was among the best I have ever had. Amazing atmosphere. Check it out!
