Great service, courses are fueling with creativity. It took 3 hours to try all 12 courses.
It would be great if the restaurant could upgrade the quality of dinning wares.

KIIN - a Michelin guide restaurant in downtown Toronto, offers an out of the world 12 course tasting menu. Must visit just for the experience if not the yummy royal Thai Cuisine.

The food, service, and ambiance at this restaurant are all exceptional, truly on par with a Michelin-starred establishment. They claim to offer cuisine in the style of Thai royalty. While I can't verify how well they represent Thai royal cuisine, their Thai dishes and presentation certainly stand out from typical Thai restaurants.
Overall, their dishes are milder than standard Thai fare, but they provide chili peppers and other seasonings so diners can adjust the flavors to their liking. Additionally, they also serve popular dishes from other Southeast Asian regions, such as Hainanese chicken rice and Chinese sausage.
Remarkably, their prices are also very reasonable. If you want to experience some of the best Thai cuisine in Toronto, this restaurant is definitely one of the top choices.

Our daughter took us to Kiin for the 12 course tasting menu. This was the first day of their new summer menu. Some dishes were spectacular while a couple had a few misses. My daughter and I (both vegetarians) got 2 completely different dishes for one of the courses, which seemed to be a mistake.
Overall the presentation was refined and beautiful! The cocktails were interesting and the service was excellent.
The most endearing part of this restaurant is that the Chef comes out to meet with every guest and one gets to engage with her story.
It is definitely a restaurant I would come back to.

I like Pai & Sukothai from the same owner. Didn't enjoy kiin as much. Went on Sun lunch and therefore had to go with the Thai brunch menu. A bit too fancy and not enough usual choices besides pad Thai (no red curries or Khao soi)..had deep fried golden bags, good but small. Had pad Thai which was ok. Also had Thai rice porridge (Jhok) which was not my cup of tea. From pictures of their menu online it seems to be fluctuating between 10 choices of main dishes and 5 dishes. For us it was the latter.. ended up $58 for 2 main & 1 starter which nowadays is considered reasonable.

A friend had recommended this place for some Thai food. This isn’t any “run of the mill” Thai food. This is what Thai Royalty use to eat back in the day.
We had the 7 course Spring 2024 menu. This is an array of wonderful flavour and textures. From crispy rice vermicelli to escargot curry.
I can’t begin to describe the wonderful dishes that were apart of this experience. Checkout the picture.
It is expensive, but like I said this is an experience. Try it out for urself.

My favourite flowers are ones I can eat, and this one is close enough. Kiin's thai flower dumpling is steamed to a delicious glutinious chew, that releases a burst of sweet, fragrant umami from the fried baby shrimp and tamarind sauce, that's magnified by the fried garlic and chili placed on top. The betel leaf underneath also provides a fresh, herbal balance to your one bite.
The coconut soup strikes a perfect harmony between the tropical richness of coconut with a taming acidity along with the lime leaves. The mushrooms inside have a snappy, bouncy texture and the grape tomatoes inside burst with a tangy sweetness, all rounded out with an aromatic combination of herbs.
The short ribs were cooked to tenderness, no knife needed in order to demolish the meat along with a creamy yet tangy tamarind coconut curry. Included inside are potatoes that are just fork tender, peanuts, and pearl onions, served with a lovely serving of blue rice that's perfect to soak up the curry.
We got the Thai Flower Dumpling, Coconut Soup, Massamaan Short Rib Curry

Exceptionally elevated Thai cuisine! The 12 course tasting menu can be made vegetarian. Each dish is beautifully plated, creative, and has unique flavours. Great service in a small but beautiful dining room. This is a must try for anyone who enjoys Thai cuisine. The cost is high but appropriate for a Michelin grade culinary journey and experience.

Amazing food and experience! Came here for the Sunday brunch and ordered anything I could. We didn’t have enough space on the table for everything but we ate it and made space! It was soooo good!

Exceptional food but don’t come hungry! The food on the tasting menu will probably be some of the best you’ve ever tasted! But the 12-course menu is truly a journey—with a lot of waiting in between each “stop.” Our main course came 2 hours into the meal, which was preceded by 9 dishes that were one bite each. So imagine showing up hungry to dinner, being given an absolutely amazingly flavorful bite of something and then having to wait 10-15 min to take a single bite of something else. If that’s how you roll, good! It was a bit much for me. But at least after asking for some extra rice, I didn’t walk out hungry. So yeah, have a bite before embarking on thai culinary journey.
