I went to Dasha with the intention of trying their Summerlicious during dinner service. To start off, it was relatively difficult to find the restaurant. There were small signs places in three different locations for which two of the signs were on a pole or wall and did not point to anywhere. The takeout sign was knocked over. FOOD Appetizer: Spicy Shrimp Bao and Steak Carpaccio I personally enjoyed the flavours of both the appetizers but I just wish there was like 2 more pieces of the Steak Carpaccio and at least one more Bao. That way it would’ve felt worth it. Presentation was nice and simple. Main Dish: Wagyu Short Rib The portion size for this dish was decent, and I loved the Wagyu. It was subtly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My boyfriend said it didn’t stand out to him, but I arguably enjoyed it. So this could be a hit or miss for some. Dessert: Maple Pecan Cheesecake and Dark Chocolate Pate The portion of the dessert in ratio to their level of sweetness was actually perfect for me. I liked the presentation, it was cute and I felt full by the end of it. I don’t particularly have a strong sweet tooth so the opinion of some may differ. Maple Pecan Cheesecake was not a typical dense cake texture. Imagine it having a strong likeness to a dense cream/mousse. Same texture mirrored in the Chocolate Pate, however, it was incased in a bowl-like shell of dark chocolate. SERVICE The staff were friendly and it looked like everyone was quite efficient with their duties. Our waiter was very kind but I forgot to ask for their name. For recognition I would describe them as a tall male with blonde / dirty blonde hair? They were personable and had good recommendations. The drinks that we enjoyed from their recommendation were: • Star of Earth (the one with dry ice) • Red Dragon (in the lengthy glass) The team was able to charge my phone when it was dying so that was greatly appreciated. ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere was dim and dark but it set the mood. It was very cozy with beautiful interior design. Colour palette were red, green, black, brown. The glassware and chopsticks design contributed to the overall atmosphere of the space. The bar is beautiful and the top is surrounded with red LED lights. I would come back here for date nights or business-casual meetings. SUMMARY Food was okay-good. I wish the portions were a bit larger to match the price points. Service was kind and the atmosphere was giving baddie. It would be a great chill spot. I didn’t give it a 4 star because of the portion of the food and its originality.

I chose to go here on my birthday, the staff were super kind and attentive! They made it feel like a special birthday. I’ve been to a lot of high value restaurants that don’t take in much care for making a birthday more special. I’m delighted to say that I had a great time here, the food was great and super flavourful, every dish was made with care and I could tell that everyone on the team cares about doing a good job and making sure the customers have a good experience. The staff did a great job explaining everything and recommending items as well! Will definitely be back here many times in the future! You got yourself a new regular

The atmosphere and service were fantastic! The place has a really cool vibe with impressive decorations. I tried the bottomless bite menu. While the food didn’t wow me in terms of flavor, it wasn’t bad, just not the best for the price. I might go back for drinks or appetizers, but I’m not sure about returning for a full meal.

Vibes and decor - Amazing You'd probably only go here for the fun neon pictures and for the vibes. Food - hit or miss and a bit boring considering the price point. Duck fried rice was really good and packed with a ton of truffle flavour. It couldn't have used more duck flavour too, especially for a dish that was supposed centered around duck. Should have been advertised as truffle rice. Brussels sprouts were very yummy and a great side dish. Maki rolls are a pass. Dungeness crab roll was a letdown with basically no crab and a bunch of avocado. Just tasted mild and creamy with no real innovative flavour. Spicy Tuna Maki was also overrun by avocado flavour. Just meh creamy taste, even the tuna wasn't particularly standout. Service/Logistics - Unremarkable The restaurant is impossible to find. The entrance is tucked away into an alley and the signs are tiny. We got leaflets in our menus advertising drinks you could only buy when sitting outside (we sat inside), which we were only told when we tried to order them. Karaoke - Not worth the money. It's 15pp/hour and 5pp/hour if you dined with them. The karaoke rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable but the system is trash. Bare song selection, they have an old acesonic system that is clunky and hard to use. It advertised a bunch of Dolly Parton songs as new releases, so you can infer from that the rest of the song selection.

Had my wife's birthday party here for 20+ people. The process of booking and reserving as smooth. Stephanie, the Reservation Manager, was very easy to work with to ensure the night was organized as requested. Food and service was fantastic. Karaoke after dinner at Dasha was conveniently in the same location and a ton of fun.

The food was super tasty, but the service was extremely poor. We were very disappointed by how long it took to get our food, despite asking twice. Our main course arrived cold, and we only got our sides much later! When we mentioned this to the waiter, he ignored us and avoided us until we paid. A simple apology for the delay would have made a big difference, but his rude attitude ensures we won't recommend this restaurant or come again. When you pay so much, you expect better food and service, even on a busy Friday night.

Wok rocked shrimp was amazing, the tiger shrimp were huge and had fantastic chili garlic flavours. I wouldn’t recommend the Chinese chicken wings as an appetizer, it was a bit dull for an appetizer I would opt for some of their other great options instead. We had a chance to have the Peking duck which had huge portions, the duck fried rice it came with was amazing, varying textures with some crunch and very flavourful thanks to the residual duck fat. The rest of the dish was good but not great, you are given the breast and they are cut vertically and a bit thick more like a steak rather than thin and angled like traditional Peking duck, this made the duck taste a tad tougher and drier then typical, I’d also note it felt like we were not necessarily getting all of the duck as you would typically as there wasn’t any excess crispy skin, nonetheless the combination of duck breast pickled radish and hoisin did hit as Peking duck always does.

Excellence. I’m from Nova Scotia, but I visited Toronto for an Oliver tree concert. What i experienced was top tier levels of cuisine, drinks and service. This place was recommended by many people, and I’m so glad I stopped in. Spent over $300 and I must say it was worth every penny and more. I would give anything to be back here again—please stop in if you’re around Toronto. I have recommended this place to countless friends and family. This place is no joke. Also, the Boston Celtics NBA team was there so you know it’s good when!

There are a lot of restaurants similar to Dasha in downtown Toronto these days, meaning fusion Asian restaurants charging an arm and a leg for their take on classic dishes. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of everything we tried here, although we definitely paid for it. I'll start off with what I did like: Spicy Dan Dan Noodles ($22) - decent portion, good taste, not very spicy at all. Duck Fried Rice ($36) - This was by far my favourite dish. I've never had a fried rice like this before. Very flavourful and a great crisp to it. Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($18) - A bit much to be paying for brussel sprouts but I actually loved this. Unique flavour from the fish sauce and great portion. Dragon Roll / Spicy Tuna Maki ($25) - These were fine. Fresh tasting fish but a premium price for a roll. Crouching Panda Punchbowl ($150) - Crazy price but actually a good portion. We shared this amongst 8 (the recommended is 4-6) and it was fine. Now for what I did not enjoy: Sweet and Sour Chicken ($27) - Okay do not order this. For $27 I could get TWO sweet and sour chicken with 5x the portion size at any decent Asian restaurant. The portion was way too small. And sweet and sour chicken is not a dish that you can make boujee. It is literally ketchup, pineapple, chicken and bell pepper. I have no idea what they're trying to do here by charging $27 for this. They didn't even try anything to differentiate it from a dish you could get at your local takeout joint. Black Dragon Dumplings ($19) - I didn't dislike this, but it was nothing special. $19 for 4 dumplings is a crazy price for a normal pork dumpling. Peking Duck ($140) - I did not know Peking duck could be $140. I guess as a group we were curious what unique take on peking duck this would be. I've probably personally caused the death of 100 ducks with the number of peking ducks I've eaten. And while this is by far the most expensive one, it was one of the most disappointing. The portion is actually quite good, but for the price it has to be. The dish really did not resemble Peking duck, I'd say it was just roasted duck breast served with crepes. And the duck was pretty dry - duck is a pretty fatty meat, so I'm surprised it could be so tough. Overall, there are a couple menu items that I would come back for. Since it was our first time we definitely ordered some duds. For $80 per person, I was pretty full, but wasn't happy with everything we ordered. Also, the location is a bit hard to find depending on what street you're entering from. I followed a homeless person into an alley which lead to the restaurant.

My boyfriend and I came here for our 5th year anniversary. We were so eager and excited to try out the place that we were the first ones there haha.. The staff were so lovely, kind, and helpful. The bottomless bite menu was delicious and totally worth it! Presentation, flavour, and concept were all lovely. Def recommend to come here for any occasion!
