Lake Inez

We loved Lake Inez. We heard good things about this restaurant but WOW!!! First our sever Kristin was awesome. All of the staff members were so friendly and attentive. The food was unique and delicious. The atmosphere was great - loud and lively. Just the way we like it. There is no doubt that we will be back - sooner rather than later.

You need to know: it is a sharing menu, rather than one plate per person. We went on Mother's Day and I found the options were too same-y in flavour profile. If sharing, I would have liked some more variety - but I think we were just unlucky. The real let-down was the server, who was visibly curt and impatient my questions. I think I'm pretty polite and friendly, but first, I didn't realise it was a sharing menu; so I asked about the sides, which she pretended not to understand. And then I took too long trying to translate unfamiliar menu terms. She didn't try to hide her distain and she made me feel like she I was 'beneath' eating there. The first time my life have I left less than a 15% tip.

Wonderful restaurant in little India, every dish was amazing and the atomosphere was cozy and lively.

Love everything about this spot. We did the mystery patio and it was awesome. Creative and well executed dishes. Staff was lovely.

What a gem! One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The unique cocktails, along with their creative twists on traditional ones, were exceptional and a highlight of our evening. The local beer list is impressive and thoughtfully curated. I really appreciated the extensive 'by the glass' selection of wine, making it easy to explore different options without committing to a full bottle. The servers were incredibly knowledgeable about all the dishes, providing insightful recommendations for their small sharing plate style menu. They offer incredible options for vegetarians, and the dishes are crafted with such creativity and care. We loved the eggplant 'tartar'. I also love that the menu changes often, ensuring fresh and seasonal options. We will be back 10/10!

The food was all high quality and ever single item had a unique twist to it. Most seemed to have Indian or south Asian twists on otherwise French or Italian dishes. Will secondly be back. Want to try their rooftop tasting menu.

There are no words to describe Lake Inez. One of the most unique and amazing restaurants in the city. Leaves me speechless every time. Pictures are from mystery patio dinner.

Tonight we went to try the new menu by Chef Julian's. The restaurant's atmosphere and service were fantastic. What made me disappointed was the size of the dishes and what was served. One of our dishes was a duck dish that in reality was a duck-flavoured asparagus dish with hollandaise sauce (barely any duck jerky) that was worth $24,00. It was very pricey for a small asparagus dish. The flavour was good but for a dish of asparagus (4 asparagus), the price is not justified. The other two dishes we got were good but also not worth the price and we were so disappointed with the last dish (the asparagus) that we decided not to get more dishes. I don't know if other menus are better since they change often, but this one does not justify its pricing.

Just excellent, all across the board. Get everything or anything, and you won't be disappointed. The menu changes all the time. Highly recommend just sharing all the dishes. A strong recommend for sure.

Great food and fun, hipster vibes. Very different dishes. The mushroom toast was our favourite. The porchetta was our least fav. Hard to get a reso so book a few weeks in advance
