The best food we have had in the city and some of the most creative menu's that are always changing. During covid they have not been able to offer any vegetarian meals so we have not had a chance to order., but we happy to see them still serving up amazing meals and being creative during difficult times!

I’ve been here 5 times and I haven’t been disappointed once. Always amazing food and great technique. I remember the mushroom dumpling, beef cheek, blueberry soufflé, so many great dishes. Also this place is very reasonable (not cheap but not break the bank expensive like some places) and it’s the restaurant I recommend to everyone who’s looking for amazing food. If your a foodie def check this place out

Reliably good quality dining, with a focused menu selection. Short ribs were outstanding, plump mussels for starter, nice selection of beers and wines. Good service, with a laid back atmosphere.

Food was unassuming to look at, but incredible depth of flavour! Came here Feb 13th on a super cold evening to celebrate Valentine's Day without the droves of people. Glad we came. We shared a cured duck leg as appetizer which was juicy and perfectly spiced in what I believe to be 5-spice. My wife said she wanted none of it, and ate half of it after the first bite. Moving on to the mains, I had a cod, she the beef tenderloin. Both were near perfectly cooked (with the exception of my cod was about 30sec too long in the pan, the brown butter was getting into the flakes of fish and began seperating them, where I find that's the point you start loosing that initial juiciness of pulling it apart yourself with your fork, it had already gotten there). The fava beans and potatoes were simple and well seasoned/cooked. The beef was again perfectly cooked (no colours taken on meat), the real show stopper for me was the rolled rutabaga with thyme and caramelized onion. Yum, at first it looked like omerice/omellete, we weren't sure. For dessert, a not quite salty, sweet, bitter and savoury cake was the right amount of everything to end it without feeling you overindulged. In all honesty, with a glass of wine each, a shared app and dessert and a main each, we spent 3$ more than we did a few nights earlier on Winterlicious at a not-to-par restaurant. The food here was exceptional. $160 later and I'm very happy with quality and quantity for price.

Dandylion offers a winning menu tonight! Everything was had was a blast: - The Citrus, Watercress starter is packed with freshness, balanced and light seasoning and versatile enough to qualify for a dessert - The Duck leg was tender, not too fatty and well cooked and the black lentils were a great complement and a very hearty winter dish - The Spinach Fettucine was off the charts, spinach perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned letting the core flavours to bloom on your palate - The Short Ribe literarily melted in your mouth, so tender and the Rutabaga (root vegetable) brings a nice hearty side and less heavy that your typical meat dishes - The earl grey ice cream is a bang! Silky texture, elevated by a just about right sweet berries and almond crumble - The Ginger cake has some interesting kick to it, the texture is soft and pleasant and the apples were perfectly poached letting the acidity complementing nicely the sweetness of the caramel. - The white wine recommendation was great! If you’re lucky to get the last bottle, go for the Chenin Blanc Le Berceau des Fées from the Loire region of France We gave some feedback on the last item and Dandylion showed an exemplary reaction by welcoming it, and the chef came by to discuss it which I find is an enjoyable experience. Dandylion keeps on giving us reasons to come back for more!

After several attempts my wife and I finally made it to Dandylion for dinner this past Saturday night. I’m on the road all week so this was an early Valentine’s Day dinner for us. I believe there are three elements to a great restaurant experience; food, service and ambiance and Dandylion delivers on all three. This place is the definition of less is more. There is nothing complicated or pretentious about it. The menu is simple and to the point. There are three starters, three mains and three deserts. The food is phenomenal. Simple ingredients that combine for great flavors. There is no bar, so there are no cocktails however the beer and wine lists are very good. I enjoyed a couple of excellent beers from two of the city’s best local craft breweries (Bellwoods and Godspeed) and my wife loved her glass of bubbly and wine. I can’t say enough about the service and the people working there. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We love the ambiance. The room is small and lively. The decor is simple with very nice touches. It’s great to watch what’s going on in the open kitchen and the music was fantastic. Food – SUPER Service – SUPER Ambience - SUPER We highly recommend Dandylion and can’t wait for our next visit

Imagine - if everything in life could be "simple yet excellent". The location is somewhat trendy on gentrified Queen and Gladstone. The space is small and quaint but met all our needs for our family of four get together and it would have also served a romantic dinner for two. Service was non pretentious, very attentive and friendly. Don't be afraid to ask questions, or even visit the kitchen which is completely open to the restaurant. The menu was simple; 3 starters and 3 mains. We ordered all of them and shared. Some were so good we ordered again - Beef Main Course was cooked and lightly seasoned to perfection and the Tuna, Eggplant starters.It tasted farm fresh although the ingredients were simple and not the most inventive. I highly recommend.

Charming spot for dinner. Their rotating menu is brief, the dishes elegant in their refined simplicity, and the service is warmly professional. My waitress was attentive yet unobtrusive. I like how they retrofitted an antique icebox to become the bar fridge, and that the pace of service allowed conversation to be unfettered by distraction.
