White Lily Diner

The food was on par but the service was terrible. We went on a Saturday right at opening and ordered a southern breakfast, pancakes, and a sweet potato salad. We received our food ONE HOUR after we ordered which was way later than the second wave of customers that was there. Some tables were even given to their third wave of customers. To the least, we were dismissed by the waiters and it was noticeable that they were avoiding eye contact even though they knew that we just wanted to know where our food was. The only time the servers tried to make conversation was when we’re were paying the bill. eventually we did receive our food but given the terrible service, we did not enjoy the food. Typically, I do not leave bad reviews but this experience was straight up just disappointing. You would never expect horrible service to destroy your whole dining experience and mood for the rest of the day.

Definitely worth a visit. We placed a reservation early at 9:20 and still had to wait an hour on Sunday morning, so if anybody is planning to visit, do keep that in mind. The food was phenomenal. Ingredients were fresh and tasted great. Definitely try the turkey stuffed French toast and buttermilk biscuits!

excellent place for weekend breakfast or brunch seating a bit tight but comfy lighting service is average but friendly we have white lily standard and patty melt standard is good portion similar to traditional menu the hash brown is so good crispy and thin; sauga is huge and a bit salty but very solid texture tasty in general. the toast is heavily buttered and lightly toasted to perfection. melt is a must to try. like a smashed burger patty; the sauce is outstanding minced pickle mix w sautéed onion! well balanced; amazing. if a thicker cheese on it would be better if calling the melt. salad could be a bit sour if sitting too long: the yam mashed is different from the franchise style. entire dish is a surprise. donut is overpriced but ask for donut of the day. may be find sth u like ‘ heads up u have to wait for an hour even though u join the waiting list after opening’ u have to try this place no disappointment

It's important to get organised and get yourself on the waitlist if you decide to go. It's a cute diner with limited seating, it's worth it though as their food quality is great and you won't be disappointed. So much to choose from and I definitely had problems deciding what to eat. Finally settled with ordering a few things to share. Think the biscuit with sausage gravy is a must have (ideally share it with others unless you have a big appetite or you have it as a main with some sides). Love the layout of the diner, it's very cosy and I loved my experience there. Think price is reasonable and worth the travel and wait.

Hands down one of the best brunches in the city! I love their creative spins of brunch/diner classics. The hot turkey French toast is thanksgiving dinner in brunch form and is SO good. I also appreciate that they have an online waitlist that allows you to explore the area while you wait for your table.

Michelin-recommended restaurants！ But I recommend queuing up online 3 hours in advance on weekends. Lined up online at 9:30 and had my meal at 1:30. Hor turkey you must try，and we also ordered Reuben sandwiches and side hashbrowns, both of which were delicious! You can also try one of the daily donut as well.

Long wait time even though we checked in at 9:17AM for the waitlist on a Sunday. Was seated for 4 at 12PM. But the food was fresh and so delicious. Would recommend the patty melt, side hash browns, and asparagus if they have it.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER SMOKED SAMLON. Everything else tasted good except for the smoked salmon very very bad. We had to order extra bacon to make it up

Proof that simple is best. White Lily plays the classic diner hits to perfection, using what are clearly the best possible ingredients. The line on the weekends is long (and for good reason), so just go ahead and book off a weekday morning for a fake doctor's appointment - this food is worth it!

This restaurant is a lesson in how to do the simple things in the best possible manner. Their attention to what they do best is remarkable. Extremely (intentionally) casual, great service (considering all those hundreds waiting in queue), and food that just doesn't allow you to stop admiring it. The scrambled eggs were probably the best I've eaten, ever, and the rhubarb biscuit was layers of simple brilliance wrapped in one small package. No words will be enough - will definitely return.
