The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

Celebrated a birthday. The atmosphere is really nice and the food was top notch. You can never go wrong with The Keg. Our server was really kind and did a great job. Highly recommend. I will definitely return to this location again in the future.

What happened? Eversince they were bought by carer foods (same company owns Swiss chalet) their food and service has gone down. Baseball sirloin was flat as a pancake and wasn't Chicago style at all. Service was lack Lustre, slow and not at all up to standards. Keg used to have standards and now they don't care

Drinks were good, steak was cooked perfectly, and the calamari was great! Will definitely be returning here soon. Giving 5 stars mainly owing to our lovely waitress! Unfortunately we've forgotten her name, but I believe she was from the UK. She helped us pinpoint the exact dishes on the menu to order based on how hungry we were and what we felt like eating, fielding the dozen questions we had.

We often eat at the Keg and never have any issues. I reserved a seating for two through the website/open table. I indicated a special occasion on the reservation. We were seated right next to the entrance of the kitchen and were listening to all the employees yell “WARNING “ each time someone was entering/exiting the kitchen. Even heard two either managers or supervisors standing right behind us gossiping about another manager. Our waitress was the only server wearing a medical mask…. WHY? We had a hard time understanding her and she was over the top too friendly, came across as being fake. She asked us about our occasion and we informed her it was our date night. I asked her if we can be moved to another table and she immediately said “oh yes, I was wondering why they sat you here next to the kitchen”. If that was the case, she should’ve taken the initiative and move us knowing it was an occasion for her customers. Don’t even know why they have a table there in the first place. Not the best experience at the Keg at all. We just wanted to eat and leave. Didn’t want to spend anymore money on drinks, deserts as planned.

i had a really long week at work and wanted to treat myself. megan h was spectacular. she took care of me and was so positive in every way. it’s exactly what you need after a long shift. the Caesar salad wasn’t great but the grilled food was awesome. thanks again, megan!

Great place for a nice steak meal without breaking the bank (considering it’s a steakhouse). The servers were excellent, gave good advice for non steak eaters and we excellent overall. If you don’t do steak too often I’d definitely recommend getting it cooked medium as they take medium-rare seriously and it can get quite bloody.

It was a nice atmosphere and the food was good. My only concern was the service; extremely long to serve the table, even when our orders were placed before someone persons who came after us, the servers were a bit unprofessional and I was quite taken aback when I requested 3 slices of birthday cake, the server was like I dont know if we can do that and give you it for me. I was like drop jaw, eye falling out kinda look, I couldn't understand why she assumed I am order slices of cake and it should be free. I thought when you go to a restaurant and order you must paid and thats the intention I went with. I felt insulted, but I smiled. The entire time while making toasts and speeches, the servers kept interrupting to remove plates and cups, ask questions, start issuing bills when we were even finished getting our dessert, and some extra drink order. None the less, I smiled and thanked them for their service because I will not be described as the aggressive, angry "BLACK" man. Trust me I would love to go back but if that's how am going to be treated, I would rather go elsewhere, where I am treated and respected as everyone else.

Out of all the keg visits, this was definitely one to visit again. Being greeted by both the hostess and management who also adhered to my requests was a delight. The food was exceptional as always and our waiter was very attentive to our drinks. We sat in the bar for a change and enjoyed the size of the bar at this location. The keg will always be a favorite of mine and now I am looking forward to our next visit here.

Great steakhouse. The filet was perfect. Twice baked potato was very good. The Mai Tai was made well. Desserts were delicious. Great service.

My sister took our Mom at this location for her birthday a few weeks ago. They accidentally forgot to take their boxed leftovers to her dismay... but luckily the Manager was able to resolve the issue and made her day. Such rarity for this level of service to go over and beyond what you expect. As such, we highly recommend this place!
