Pretty decent food just wish they had better vegan options

LOVE the food and service at this small neighborhood spot. Please be aware that the dining area is tiny and far from fancy, but the quality of the homemade food and the friendliness of the service more than compensates. Their homemade dim sum is divine and I’ve recently discovered that their Shanghai noodles are EPIC.

We live in the neighbourhood and thought to give this place a try. Disappointing quality at a fairly high price. The chilli chicken had a lot of skin, fat and bones, and the noodles were hard, uncooked, inedible. Also, the person who took our order was a master of deception, invoking confusion and a a mistake in the displayed price to add 2 extra dollars to the price (which already included the extra cost).

Great little dim sum spot with a good selection of Chinese food as well. Ha Gow has all my favourite dim sum dishes and is a lot less crowded than bigger restaurants. I may start coming here more often thanks to it's convenient location and good prices. There is also a good selection of vegetarian dishes which is a great plus

Went here because they had both vegan and non-veg options. I ordered the deep fried bean curd rolls and the veggie sticky rice. Both tasted below average. The bean curd rolls were over fried to the point they looked dark brown. The sticky rice was way too wet. My non-veg companion ordered shrimp fried rice, fish congee and deep fried chicken wings. He rated his food 3.5/10. If you are vegan and/or were raised on good dim sum, I recommend you go elsewhere for dim sum.

Bonus points to Ha Gow for being the only dimsum and dumpling spot in the area... and they make it fresh and by hand! Stopped by for lunch and got a bunch of stuff. My favourites were the har gow (plump shrimp, tasty coating), scallop dumpling (great texture and conteasts in taste), bbq pork bun (hefty bun, tender pork, generous sauce), and for dessert the sesame balls (sticky bean paste, good fry). Place is simple yet clean and spacious. Pruces are reasonable. Service is quick and pleasant. Between all those things and the authentic tasting dim sum and dumpling, I get why this place has been around for over a decade.

Talk about quality hargow! Steaming baked fresh and absolutely delicious!!! Please come experience this wonderful staff and great taste for yourself!!!!!

I walked by this restaurant a while ago, but decided to try it another time. I finally went back and the food was delicious. Nice variety of food and the prices are reasonable. Much more affordable than the Chinese restaurants downtown, which is where I live.

Tasty, authentic dim sum. Ordered ha gow, siu mai, sticky rice in lotus leaf, pork spare ribs in black bean sauce and mushrooms stuffed with shrimp. Everything was hot, fresh and good. Prices are reasonable. Soy sauce, hot mustard, vinegar and chili oil provided. Cash only. Wish they stayed open past 7:30 but plan ahead. Family run business. There's a reason they've been around for a long time.
