Hy’s Steakhouse

The food was excellent, the service very good, especially Gabriel who prepared us a fantastic Cesar salad. I highly recommend it.

We had an excellent experience at Hy’s Steakhouse. It’s a stylish and beautiful place with superb wine and top-notch service, definitely a must-visit in Toronto. The only downside was that since we came during lunchtime, they were only serving the lunch menu, which was limited. However, we tried the remarkable PORTERHOUSE steak, which was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, costing around 130 CAD. We also enjoyed the Crab Cake 🦀 for 33 CAD. Overall, despite the limited lunch menu, the quality of the food and service makes Hy’s Steakhouse a standout choice.

Came here on a reservation with my parents for their anniversary. Staff were amazing, we got seated within a minute. More than two floors of dining area, with comfortable seats and nice atmosphere. Food was amazing (try the parmesan asparagus!) and came quick. Would come here again.

This steakhouse is nice, comfortable, old school-like modern, and easy to get to in the financial district. It was my first time trying Hy’s and my husband’s second time at another location. Service was mediocre: we made reservations for our wedding anniversary and the hostess greeted us by congratulating us on our milestone and overall, was super friendly. Our server however, was not as attentive… we had to flag him down a couple of times for a couple of things… he never came back to ask how our meal was going, but, he was also not rude or anything. I expected a little more friendliness and attention as we were dining here but I’m not entirely mad either, just a little disappointed. Food was good, not over the top good but good. Everything was done to our liking and drinks as well. Their crab cake, although I see value in it, was too small for their price tag. Delicious, yes, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering that again. I really enjoyed their ceasar salad and cream of spinach, they are great sides to go with the steak.

I have dined at Hys for years and this past weekend. Service is always 10/10 atmosphere is sophisticated and classy. You feel sexy walking into the open bar area.10/10. This is a steak house with the most amazing made at your table ceaser salad. I had the fish this weekend and presentation was perfection but was not cooked. I will forever be a steak girl here. Thanks for making our family weekend memorable.

The steaks are cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and paired beautifully with their extensive wine list. The service is impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff making every visit exceptional. Overall, Hy's delivers a top-notch dining experience that is truly unforgettable. Highly recommend!

firstly, when we entered the restaurant we were greeted nicely the staff were really nice but, when we got the water we noticed something in the water. it was a bug, if i were dining at an expensive restaurant i would rather expect it to be sanitary there were so many fruit flies flying around our area. the food was good portion was so small and i got goosebumps when we saw the bugs in the water it is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary the waiter couldn't even give a proper apology, waste of money.

I have been dinning at this restaurant for over 15 years and it used to have great steaks, but not anymore. I recently came here with 3 others celebrate a couple of birthdays. We ordered 4 different steaks and none tasted all that good. I had the steak Neptune and it was really bland. A friend who ordered the Beef Wellington medium rare, but it came medium to medium well done. It's sad to say that the best part of the meal was the cheese toast and jumbo scallops. I will not be returning to this establishment as there are better options at the same price point. I will give this place two thumbs up for its service and atmosphere.

Loved the atmosphere and the food. The service was great. Very classy and vibrant restaurant for special occasions! Wine collections were great, and the waiter had a great knowledge of the wine menu. Highly recommend 👌
