I have been a loyal customer for the past 5 years. I moved away from downtown and came back today for a visit. However, I am deeply deeply disappointed. We came at 1:30pm on a Saturday and the place is half empty. While we wait for our friend to park the car in the area we were declined to be served and were told no table to be set up until the party is all arrived. We were forced to sit at the corner of the door to wait for our one friend. I understand this on a busy day, but the place is HALF EMPTY!! Let alone not having a working AC in the middle of a hot summer day.
I used to enjoy the food and had lots of joyous memories with my friends coming to this place. I would only recommend ordering takeout from this place. It is very sad when a place becomes big and popular they lost basic respect and human touch.
Going back to the food, chicken and beef teriyaki and okonomiyaki are all good. Almost tried everything on their menu.

I highly recommend the squid okonomiyaki! It’s very tender and chewy to just the right degree. This traditional Japanese “pancake” was enough to share between 2 people along with a main.

Wow their okonomiyaki definitely did not disappoint! It was so good and was surprisingly cheap. I’ll definitely be coming back for it.
I had the pork okonomiyaki. The entrance is a little small and not really any space to sit and wait for takeout. The interior design is also very homey.

Small family run restaurant serving Japanese food.
Chicken Teriyaki rice plate was roughly $16. Very tasty and pleasantly, it had enough sauce to coat everything. Also loved the generous amount of bean sprouts. Simple and plain. Loved that it tasted like a home cooked meal. Sometimes, you need that instead of a fancy one.
Service was good despite the fact that it was busy with at least one party waiting for an open table the entire time we were there.

The food was delicious. Ordered their Yakisoba and it just hit the spot. The staffs were very professional and friendly. I took my toddler to the restaurant and the staffs were interacting with her which made her happy. I will definitely come back again for their delicious food & service.

A casual long standing Japanese restaurant specializing in okonomiyaki (savoury cabbage pancakes) and teriyaki. Food tastes good thanks to being hot and fresh off the flat top grill, and their house made teriyaki sauce and mayo. Seating is tight and it’s first come first serve no ressos.

We came to this restaurant because of seeing the 4.5 stars on google map, which is a bit misleading.
Ordered a yakisoba and a seafood deluxe okonomiyaki. There’s no problem with the later one. However, the yakisoba tasted like plain beefs, onions, bean sprouts with rice. However I never been to Japan and can’t tell if it’s authentic or just not for me.
It is a very tiny restaurant, tables and seats are very small, cooking smell is very strong.

The restaurant is just around a 6 min walk south from the Bloor-Yonge station.
The restaurant is packed and busy on a Friday evening. People lining up inside and outside the restaurant. The restaurant is completely full at 6 pm. The restaurant doesn't do reservations or have a wait list. You just have to show up with your full party to be then seated inside the restaurant.
As a party of 5 we ordered 2 Miso Soup, 1 Beef Teriyaki, 1 Yakiniku Teriyaki, 2 Burger Steak Teriyaki, and 2 Pork Okonomiyaki. And the Seaweed flakes and Bonito flakes to add on top of the okonomiyaki. The miso soup was some good ol' soup, a strong miso flavor. My friends enjoyed the beef teriyaki and the burger steak teriyaki. My sister and her boyfriend enjoyed their pork okonomiyaki and yakiniku teriyaki. I also enjoyed my pork okonomiyaki (added the bonito flakes and seaweed flakes to it) and burger steak teriyaki. The teriyaki came with meat, bean sprouts and rice. The flavours and portion sizes were good for rather affordable prices. The pork okonomiyaki was $12.60. The teriyaki dishes were around $15. And the yakiniku was around $17. The seaweed flakes and bonito flakes was $0.50.
Finally ate here after wanting to go for years. Very enjoyable experience. The food was good, the prices were rather affordable... Overall what a wonderful dinner experience. It was my birthday party dinner. Would go again to eat some more okonomiyaki.
