Best Chinese takeout in the area. Does not have a wide range of selections but their chilli chicken was otherworldly.

This place is old school eastend. I went here years ago, hadn’t been back until today. Big portions, good price, very fast, tasty hot food. I bought two meals, I could barely get through one ( and im a big guy ) They could teach alot of hipster bespoke places a thing or two. I hope they make a pile of money, as people rediscover them.

I would not recommend this restaurant. We ordered take good for out. The quality of the food is not good and the food has no flavour. Not worth your money.

There is a family that owns this restaurant and you must go there and try all of their food because it is the absolute best price if you like to eat alot and return for more because where else can you get a nice meal for $7? I'll tell you where, Lucky Star is exactly the place to be if you want a spicy soup or shrimp on fried rice, fish, chicken,wonton, you name it! i absolutely loved going there and always got a can of pop or water with my order and sometimes it was even free. When i choose a place to eat a quick meal i also consider the experience and dealing with the owners at the lucky star is an experience in of its self on it's own. GO TO LUCKY STAR! GO NOW :) p.s their food is not always the warmest but if you have any kind of issue like that.. humbly and kindly explain what you're disappointed in by telling the owner and I'm certain they will most likely exceed your expectations.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Quantity and pricing is phenomenal. Food is pretty darn good actually. Quite run down inside but who cares, you aren't going there for ambience!

Super classic chinese-canadian hole-in-the-wall, straight out of the 1970s. If that's what you're looking for, this is exactly that place. Steam tables, fluorescent lighting, a wok banging in the back. Sometimes I'm just so happy places like this still existing in the world. Shanghai Noodles were comforting, greasy, piping hot and made to order, and with way too many shrimp to be profitable for them. 8.60 total, incl 1$ to add the chicken wings. Brilliant.
