Service was good. We showed up late and they were very accommodating so I do appreciate that Food was good not great and in my humble opinion not worth the price although the experience was nice All and all when we go out again to spend that type of money on dinner it wouldn't be here. Sorry

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yasu for an omakase experience, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was extraordinary, with each course meticulously prepared and presented. A great experience although quite pricey (185 pp). We sat at the bar and could see how the sushi chefs prepared the food, as well as listen to them explain where each item came from. Each sushi piece and the appetizer were good, and the freshness of the fish could be tasted. I'd recommend it for those who haven't tried it yet. I don't think I was wow'd, but had a good time and think it was worth it for the price.

Incredible experience with a delicious omakase menu in beautiful restaurant setting. We had the sake pairing too which was well worth the price with great explanations about each bottle. Staff are all fantastic. Seating is a bit tight though.

One of a lifetime experience I would say. I love how the chef was so dedicated and exceptionally handled the food. Every dish is seasonal. The best sushi was Sea Eel (not freshwater eel that we usually eat). It's like butter that melts in your mouth. The meal consists of 16 courses. You have the option to add more food but I was stuffed. I even requested to have less rice so I could make it to the end of the course.

Had a very pleasant experience at Yasu. The freshness of the ingredients really stands out with the way the food is prepared. We enjoyed the new kaiseki style appetizer (instead of sashimi platter). Everything was prepared meticulously. The chef and staff are very polite and respectful. Personally I would have liked more interaction with the chef, but that’s just me and I understand the interaction was a bit challenging at times due to a language barrier. Wait staff could have been a bit more attentive with refilling or reordering beverages. Price is on the higher side, but justifiable and expected based on Toronto standards (unfortunately). Overall, a good experience and would recommend to friends.

While I’m no connoisseur, I’ve been fortunate to try most of the big name Omakase spots in Toronto. Hands down, Yasu was my favorite. The attention to detail, the flavors, the theatre of it - it’s a thing of beauty to watch people who have honed a craft for a lifetime and to watch them practice it in front of you - all whilst being able to taste the results. Amazing meal, will definitely be back. Wonderful hospitality from the chefs and service staff. Thank you!

Loved everything on the menu here! Did the 165 pp menu and very worth it. Great service and quality of their imported fish selection was top tier! 👌 Definately worth trying!

Incredible experience! Every dish was amazing and all of the staff and chefs were so kind and attentive. The firefly squid, bluefin tuna, and handmade cherry blossom ice cream for dessert (?) we’re my favorites. Came here for my husbands birthday and they even added a candle in our desert! Will be going back anytime I am in Toronto again.
