I have seen both Dr. Thakur and Dr. Asgarpour. Both are excellent doctors. The patient and the doctor need to work as a team to track down and treat skin cancers like melanoma. I feel that I am in good hands with Dr. Asgarpour and the surgical team. Skilled, efficient, respectful and compassionate.

My GP sent the referral to the clinic Apr 9, 2024 for medical appointment, (I thought I would go through quickly because it is a concerning medical “scare”. (now we are in July 2024) I got a text message that is saying: you have been booked for an appointment at the Canadian Dermatology Centre Friday, November 22 at 11:40 a.m. I guess if I would needed a Cosmetic appointment they would’ve taken me yesterday. Can you see what money does. I had a previous cosmetic appointment, wasn’t successful, I thought I gave them an other chance. What do you think I should do? Give them , if I could NO ⭐️!

If I could give the clinic zero stars I would. I saw one doctor who ended up quitting and going to another clinic. Then I was referred to Dr. Asgarpour for hair loss and she was extremely rude and dismissive during our appointment. I asked about different medications and she seemed to be annoyed for seemingly no reason. I wonder if it’s because I wasn’t a paying customer vs a referral from a family doctor. Nevertheless I got two prescriptions, one that I was already taking and a new one. I filled the new one but figured I would wait to fill the medication I was already taking because I had some left. I called the clinic a few days ago because I lost the script and gave them the name of the pharmacy I use. I received a call back today saying that I had already filled the medication. I said I was given TWO scripts, I filled one and I had already told that to the receptionist. Then I was told a) they would not be refilling my medication irregardless of that and b) Dr. Asgarpour did not want to take me on as a client anymore and could they refer me to my previous doctor “who I had a better relationship with.” Huh? I saw the previous doctor one time for 5 minutes the same as this doctor. The tone of the lady on the phone was very dismissive as if to say “we don’t want to work with you.” I was so confused. Has nobody lost a prescription before? I’m a nurse myself I know it’s not some unheard of thing. And why not call my pharmacy to find out if I had like I already said. I let her know that’s fine, clearly this dermatology centre only has time for paying customers. Horrible, rude doctor. And to make a huge deal about a lost script is ridiculous. Avoid this clinic unless you want some procedure done, only way they have time for you.

I had a very good experience. The receptionist was fast in attending to me. Doctor Gill was awesome , she was so calm and she listened to all my concerns. She is very good 👍 👏 👌 ❤️

The doctor was very helpful and determined instantly the appropriate medication to take care of the problem. She prescribed proper medication and had biopsy taken to have the skin tested out to then follow up with appropriate treatment. The reception agent was very helpful and also helped to fax the prescription to the pharmacy. I was very satisfied with the visit

I waited 6 weeks for an appointment. I informed my GP that I was looking for a comprehensive approach and did not want medicines only. I was seen for 10 minutes by a female doctor who only recommended a full course of expensive medicines that would be a long-term requirement. I asked for other non-pharmaceutical recommendations and was given none. I was asked what my intention was for the visit and when I stated that I wanted to try other avenues, I was told that she could not help. This appointment likely cost the tax payers $500+ for nothing more than having expensive, long term drugs with significant negative side effects pushed on me. Instead of giving me a choice to use that money for a naturopath or other non-pharmaceutical interventions as a preliminary, this is what our healthcare pushes on us. If drugs are working so well, why are so many people suffering from autoimmune disorders, which is growing every year? Shame on the Canadian healthcare system that wants to turn us into life-long patients. Shame on this "medical office" for offering me nothing more than a catalogue of drugs to choose from. We really need to strongly consider privatizing healthcare. Public healthcare results in nothing more than doctors who dismiss you and cater to their own agendas, inhumane wait times, and extremely poor outcomes. Having lived in countries with private healthcare, returning to Canada has been a rude, shameful, and disappointing awakening about how broken this system is.
