Omni King Edward Hotel

Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted with friendly smiling faces in a stunning grand reception area. The room was clean, spacious and well presented and the bed and pillows very comfortable. We are at the hotel restaurant, the lamb shank was delicious and the service was good, the only feedback I would have is the man behind the bar was very loud and opinionated and perhaps needs to be cognisant of his surroundings as his opinions could be interpreted as quite offensive to some. If you're a light sleeper, take some ear plugs as the air con can be a little on the loud side. We mentioned this to the lady in reception as we checked out and she was very receptive to the feedback (not like some hotels which can be standoffish) and she offered us complimentary breakfast but unfortunately we didn't have the time. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel for its location and overall experience.

Will always stay here when visiting Toronto! This hotel is very first class,it a must place to stay.It's also family friendly. I will tell my family and friends it's a must place to stay.

The location is very good, walking distance to st. Lawrence market and 2mins walk to subway station. Alex at the checking reception is very helpful, and the room service is very good as well. If you are sensitive to noise, try not to choose the room along the kings road. The tram is 24hours! Although it is pricy, it is the peak season everything is at its peak demand. Toronto has so many things to explore!

Afternoon Tea with my daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed this, our first, visit to the King Eddy. Superb table service from 'Dev' and all 'round professional & courteous team effort. The "Tea" menu was well presented, scrumptious and plentiful. Reserve and be pampered.

The hotel is great. The service is great. The location is great. But some tweaks are needed. For example, my advanced request for extra towels was ignored. The doorpersons did not seem too eager to help. Did not get the right vibe. The rooms were excellent!!! But would recommend the hotel.

The Omni King Edward is an elegant hotel with exceptional staff. The staff does go above and beyond to accommodate all of your needs. We arrived early and were just looking to drop off our bags but the Front Desk insisted on looking at whether any rooms were ready and luckily one was available so we checked in early. Our room was spacious, tidy, and clean. The bar staff were friendly and answered our questions regarding food and drink items on the menu. Breakfast was served in an elegant-looking room and the waiters were very courteous. The menu contained several items to cater to all tastes. The Hotel concierge service was impressive and knowledgeable providing excellent recommendations on where to eat outside the restaurant.||||Overall: Centrally located / Close to Billy Bishop Airport (20-minute taxi ride) King St Subway Station (2-minute walk) / Walking distance to most downtown attractions - St. Lawrence Market (10 minutes) The Distillery District (15 minutes) / Toronto Waterfront (20 minutes) / Hockey Hall of Fame (10 minutes) / Scotiabank Area (15 minutes) / CN Tower (20 minutes) / Rogers Centre (25 minutes) and Eaton Centre (15 minutes).

My stay at the Omni made me feel regal! The front desk (Madeline) and concierge services along with onsite tailoring, salon, masseuse, dinning, etc. all made this memorable. Very impressionable place will visit for the onsite tours and classical historical perspective. Incredible ambiance. I will definitely return.

As a solo female travelling to Toronto for a business trip, I chose the King Edward primarily for location as it was a short walk from where I needed to be each day. I also wanted a hotel where I could feel comfortable eating alone in the evening or having an after work cocktail.||However, the King Edward delivered so much more. Location for transit is excellent. Union Station is minutes away connecting you with Pearson Int. airport. ||And even though I was in Toronto for work, I got to go to the the top of CN Tower one night as it was minutes away. The staff were excellent. I loved feeling relaxed enough to have food and drinks in the hotel bar - the seating is arrange that you can be social or private, with good street views if you just want to watch the passersby. ||The standouts were definitely the bed. If I hadn’t had so much to do, I may have never left it! I like that simple things like water and coffee pods were replaced each day. Often hotels will only have these on arrival, which is annoying if you’ve a two or three night stay. My only comment is the room lighting was insufficient for my needs. However the lighting in the bathroom was excellent. As a solo female traveler, I’d highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Toronto's financial district. The hotel is perfect for anyone coming to see Toronto. It is a 10 minute walk from anywhere, it is surrounded by beautiful streets and tasty restaurants. The hotel staff are absolutely amazing! They went out of their way to make us happy and feel like we're home. The parking just like any other big city is too expensive when you go through the hotel but if you do self parking the garage next door is $30/night and if you want to walk a bit further you can find cheaper locations. We had two rooms with connecting doors, the King is beautiful and perfect for a couple, the executive two queen room is huge and has two large walk in closets and a huge bathroom. Highly recommended.

When planning a trip we always consult Tripadvisor. This hotel rated very high and we were not disappointed. ||The location is ideal, downtown and close to everything you want to see, its convenience was exceptional. A short walk from the train station and other attractions. The outside is plain but as soon as you set foot into the foyer the grandness impresses. ||All of the staff from the door, to the desk, to room service were excellent. Our room was very comfortable and well decorated, and the amenities are what we would expect from a good hotel. The bathroom was spacious and very clean, and the bed comfy. There was a safe and a quiet fridge, and the lighting was just right. The only criticism I would have was that the windows were on the small side, but this is an old building (early 1900’s) - we tied the curtains back to let more light in, and the air conditioning could get loud if you needed it on (which we didn’t even though it was July and warm). outside). ||Another plus was the Consort Bar which was very well appointed, and clearly favoured by guests as it was never empty. Wine was great, food equally so and the service was excellent. I lovely place to relax mid afternoon after a busy day or into the evening. ||Overall a great place to stay while in Toronto and we will definitely return.
