Amazing pop up vegan place in Toronto.

I had a refreshing cocktail prepared by the creative bartender, followed by a beautiful fusion tapas of seared scallops with a shallow pool of broth and root veggies. The recommended pairing with mini corn bread baked in its own small cast iron skillet was perfect to enjoy with last drops of broth.

So we learned that Thoroughbred is closing in about a week and becoming a pop-up! They brought back all their favourite menu items which actually made for a pretty great selection. Everyone MUST TRY the 6 Brazilian Dollar Man, it's a fantastic cocktail with (surprise!) a dash of habanero. A few people in our party had the cauliflower appetizer and raved about it. We also tried the Banquet Burger which was so thick, we had to eat it using a fork and knife. It was very good.

My wife and I came in here for our regular Friday eat-out. This time we decided to come to this place. We were really hungry and expected some nice tasty food. To be honest, we never received it... My fish&chips dish was the worst I have tried in a while, I didn’t even finish the fish as it wasn’t tasty at all. My wife’s burger was just OK while the potato was good. The drinks were really nice and the beer was delicious. If you are into just a drink then feel free to come and enjoy this place.

When in to try their fried chicken a couple of weeks ago which was tasty. They also have reasonably priced cava/bubbles to wash it down with. Next time I'll try some of their cocktails as I've heard they're also good.

It’s a nice and cozy place and it looks like a good environment to get a drink (I didn’t get any drinks), but the food tasted mediocre and I personally wouldn’t come back for dinner again. Dessert was good thought. Both of the appetizers that we had, Kung Pao cauliflower and Argentina shrimp, tasted only slightly fancier than food court Chinese food. The tandoori Cornish hen was better. The texture of the chicken was nice and tender. The flavour of the chicken itself was good too. The quality of the meat was good. But I didn’t love the flavouring. The desert was the best part of the meal for me. The pavlova was delicious and quite extraordinary.

You will have to park in the area and walk or get dropped off. A beautiful, slender old school two-story structure wedged between two modern business buildings. Creative cocktails and delicous fare along with personal service led to the 5 stars. The plates were actually larger than I expected, but nonetheless I had to order two items to fill up. Great cozy restaurant for a date or a conversation. Extended list of liquor, cocktails, wine, and other libations. Highly recommended.

My first time there I had drinks and fries, which was really good !!! This time , I’ve tried their summerlicious and it was very delicious! Would recommend the kung pao cauliflower and their signature carrot gnocchi! Their lamb shoulder was also very tender and cooked perfectly! Good news is that their summerlicious menu is also on their regular menu ! Get the pavalova , it’s amazing and well balanced ! Small menu but excellent quality and taste ! Pls check it out !

Absolute gem of a restaurant on Richmond Street. Couldn't decide on where to eat after a Blue Jays game and on our way back to our hotel near Dundas Square found Thoroughbred on Google Maps. At first we weren't quite sure what to think of it by simply looking at the front but boy were we happy we went inside. Simple menu of no more than 15 dishes with an extensive (and tasty) cocktail and alcohol menu. Highly recommend the gnocchi, have not had any gnocchi as soft and delicious before.

HELLO this place is delicious and underrated! My boyfriend and I stopped by on a whim last night and we were pleasantly surprised by the food here! The service was fast and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Since it was Thursday they had their High Five menu with small bites for $5. We ordered pretty much all of them, lol. Oysters, jalapeño cheddar cornbread, brisket sandwich and cauliflower. We also got beef tartare off the regular menu. Everything was super delicious but the beef tartare and the cauliflower were the winners for me. The oysters were also really yummy and sweet and small from PEI, but I’m sure this changes. I also got the spiced winter ale which was super delicious and I want to drink it all year long! Summary: Go here and eat raw beef 😋
