Under The Table Restaurant

Great affordable food. We always get their daily special ( their amazing home made burger and fries with a very tasty sauce, or the spaghetti). Great staff too, always welcoming and sweet !

Pretty chill environment. Food was pretty good loved their homemade pepper sauce. Had the oxtail...pretty good portion size.

Food was great! Service was slow and technical problems with debit/ credit machine.

An amazing dining experience. We ordered the oxtail dinner and jerk chicken with waffles. My friend and I did not talk the entire meal, we just stuffed our faces. Trying this place out is an absolute must! You won’t regret it.

This place is great! It's a cozy little restaurant with excellent food. My friends ordered sliders and burgers, and I ordered some poutine and chef's wings (appetizers). The food was absolutely delicious, and the serving staff was very pleasant. We'll definitely return again the next time we're in the area.

Really don’t get the hype about this place. It’s in a basement and kind of dingy. The food was good but nothing out of this world like the others are raving about. The portions were on the prices were higher and the dishes on the smaller side given the type of restaurant (not fine dining or even mid range). It was freezing when we went and they had to have block heaters running around tables; it was still freezing regardless. Definitely would not return.

Did someone say chicken and waffles...or is that someone whispering to me Under The Table.... While visiting Canada I found this cute little place on Yelp. I found parking outside but I wasn't sure if I understood the parking signs correctly. I ran in the restaurant asking Andrea, the lady who worked there if she could help me. Andrea helped me figure it out and then sat us down to eat! There were so many choices on the menu and I wanted them all. They had regular chicken and waffles, chicken and waffles with berries (Itanni), and even jerk chicken and waffles. They had lots of breakfast, my favorite and lots of choices. I wanted to try the jerk chicken but I thought it might've been too spicy for my mom. So instead we got the Itanni which was fried chicken, waffles with maple triple berries sauce. It was sooooo good! It was a perfect size to share since I also ordered a breakfast plate. My breakfast plate had egg whites, bacon, potatoes, and butter bread. She told me the butter bread is just like white bread... But they must have buttered it to perfection because I could've eaten a pile of it. Great cheat meal! Everything thing I tasted was delicious. I also thought it was cute that they had old-school hip-hop playing in the background. Maybe 90's R&B. What else can you asked for when you have great customer service, bomb food and good prices?! I definitely wish I could have come here a few times on my trip to Canada! I know they have more delicious dishes Under The Table! One of my favorite meals on my trip!

Love this place! A true hidden gem. Their brunch is incredible, staff super friendly, and the space has a cozy-homey atmosphere, like having dinner at a friend’s cottage.

Our Cabbagetown Go-To food is absolutely delicious!

This restaurant is so tasty and the staff is so friendly and attentive. We went for dinner and they treated everyone who walked in like they were old friends. The food was excellent and reasonably-priced. It's not fancy but it was a great choice. (Also, if the chef is making cheesecake for dessert you should absolutely get it even to take it home.)
